The multiplayer in FC3 is surprisingly passable. everyone says it's a 'COD ripoff' but I've not played any of the recent cod games, so all this gooseberry fool is new to me. the 'Punish' and 'show mercy' thing is pretty funny too.

Far Cry 3 (PC)

So I'm scouting out transmitter number six on my little list and having gotten past numerous pirates, wild dogs and big cats on my long trek to get to it, I climb up and bring the transmitter back online. Then I notice one of the zip lines leads directly to a hang glider perched on the edge of the cliff we're on. Normally I'd fast travel off the top of the transmitter in order to get back to base, but this time I figure I'll give the hang glider a go...(first time). :shifty:

Amazing even myself, I not only flew the thing all the way back home, in the dark, in one shot, but also landed it quite literally back at my front door - without the use of a map, just a fairly good sense of direction. The screen is the proof. It wasn't a graceful landing, but I survived.

The hang glider that got me home: right to my front door.

I just wish I'd had FRAPs making a video of my little escapade. :(

Far Cry 3 is bloody great. Reminds me a lot of Just Cause 2.

I made a waifu.

Shes a nord so that shes racially perfect in the context of the game.

Here she is ethnically cleansing Skyrim.

Confession time.

I put ps3 skyrim on last night, and not only did it look like utter gooseberry fool, far far worse than I thought it did in my head thansk to these screenshots, but I loaded it, walked to a patch outside a forest where some cardboard trees failed to load, then the strawberry floating thing hard froze. :x

So yeah, i see now how much better this looks, and i want it for PC.

Clearly it's not that much effort to put this stuff in the game, why the hell don't they just do it from the start? Oblivion was worse I think, that game is unplayable compared to a well modded version.

Because they are appealing to the mass market. I dont care for a great deal of these mods, but I appreciate that (most) of them are there.

Its much more in Bethesda's interest to provide a solid-ish base and allow the mods to build on and run away with it.

I brought skyrim in the latest Steam sale can I still mod it or have I shot myself in the foot?

The mods are great but I think there is a fine line between modding the game and actually playing the game. I guess it's almost a game in itself, but whenever I see people who have put 50+ mods into the game they spend their entire time tinkering with it and not actually playing it. I've got about 20 odd mods on mine, just from Steamworks no ENB stuff and I've put about 100 hours into the game. Now that's gameplay. A mate of mine has played the game for about 5 hours yet spend 5 times more on that just tinkering with the game.
For me that isn't enjoyable, for others it is.

Ive put over 110 hours in. 2 or 3 of those were probably modding.

The best bit is, is that I just take the mods off because I prefer it vanilla for most things anyway.

I must say, I enjoy modding games just to see if I can make them look prettier, or add silly stuff as well other decent mods to expand the gameplay.

That being said, I do have Dawnguard DLC to do, so I'll be putting in serious gameplay time with orc character on it soon.

And the flipside of the mod argument;

Im not linking the mod because you filthy pervs can go find it yourselves, but it should hopefully be taken down soon.

Added a lightning mod last night, looks great when it strikes during a storm. More so at night when it lights everything up.

20 hours clocked in Steam for Skyrim. Done about 2 quests
