Installed Train Simulator 2013 so I can be ready for Halloween with Trains Vs. Zombies :slol:

Unfortunately for the passengers, after Didcot I derailed the train :fp: Probably should of waited for those traffic lights to go green :shifty:

A few screens from Doom3 BFG The Lost Missions (Exis Labs). This is (I think) the fourth of the extra missions. I altered the game's FOV from default 60 to 85 and enabled the developer console via a tweak to the game's shortcut properties. Game is looking very nice, imo.

The motion blur effect added to BFG Edition is really really nice and makes the game feel very fluid (probably for the oculus rift integration? really nice even just on a monitor), but otherwise it's just some boring places rendered boringly no matter how good/bad the textures are etc etc.

Seriously? Cause that honest to god looks offensively bad.

Well, each to their own. I'm just thrilled to have these new Doom3 maps to wander about. Who'd have thought it? Eight years after the original game got released and here I am again sneaking down all-new (and some admittedly recycled) corridors of win. Cos it's 'not about the graffiks', is it, Brer? Isn't that what self-proclaimed 'real' gamers say all the time? Guess what? That must actually make me a real gamer, I guess (finally). Maybe for just this once I'm happy enough to be allowed back into a new wing of my favourite haunted house, even if the old place isn't always looking quite as impressive as it once did.

Not true, falsey, but a nice try. Here, have a cookie. No post-capture tarting up in Photoshop was done at all, except for the second-to-last image which needed a simple level adjustment to bring out a little more of the image from the dark. Other than that, the only other adjustments to all pics was to take them down in size by 65%.

The shots themselves were taken in-game (obviously) with a 'noclip' camera, which meant I could go for any angle I wanted, from wherever I wanted within each map. 'Monsters' were switched off and the camera given a 'noTarget' attribute. I also turned off all 'bobbing' on the camera, which just gives movement a very smooth glide around the sets (and also, in conjunction with altering movement speed parameters, helps in the making of very cinematic movies - especially now that Doom3 has native 360 controller support -yay).

So, moan all you like. Are you honestly saying those are not great set designs, regardless of graphic considerations? Be objective. Amazing to me just how outstanding they look even today. I still haven't seen them bettered.

I honestly thought they don't look that impressive, personally.

But heyho - if you think they look generous, then coolio.

Shots from my very brief play of the new Need For Speed (Couldn't put up with the dodgy frame rate issues) shame as it looks nice enough.

And the last one from my Warfighter campaign run through.

MW does look alright.

Might have to pick up the MOH games and MW3 and blast through the campaigns at some point for some brown people shooting.
