RIP

His genuine passion for motor sport really got me in to it early in life. Him and James Hunt made F1 a sport that could both be entertaining and interesting, many times I would watch and be rolling with laughter at the commentary from both.

Yaphet Kotto has died at 81.

Probably best known around these parts for playing Parker in Alien and Laughlin in The Running Man, as well as one of the main characters in Homicide: Life on the Street.

Great in one of my favourite films. Shame that but 81 is a good run. RIP mate.

I had no idea he was Dr. Kananga in Live and Let Die.

A top tier boxer in anyone's book.

One of the true greats. Rewatched his fight with Hagler the other day, what an 8 minutes that was.

Presume you mean Hearns and yeah, probably the greatest first round ever!

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Oh aye definitely meant Hearns. Not sure Hagler shadow boxing in the mirror for 8 minutes would have been quite as good.

That Sabine news has really shocked me. Was only watching one of her Nurburgring video's a few days ago. I had no idea she was ill.

That's a proper gut punch. I hope Top Gear can put together some sort of special to commemorate her.

I've been re-watching the post Clarkson, Hammond and May TG, and just last night watched the episode where Sabine and Rory race cheap SUVs up an 'almost' mountain. Without doubt she was one of the highlights of the revamped show.

I too remember watching Hagler vs Hearns with my dad and brother.

I never saw the Hagler vs Hagler fight mind. I'm betting on a draw.

Garage rock musician Dan Sartain has died aged 39. :(

Probs most well known for this track which was used in one of the Telltale Walking Dead games, but he has an extensive back catalogue which is well worth investigating. Sad news.
