They took out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son was a different story altogether.

Veteran actress Sylvia Syms (among many roles, she played The Queen Mother in the 2006 Helen Mirren Queen movie).

I always mix up Sylvia Syms and Joan Sims.

Now they are both dead.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

It’s been a long time since I watched 24 so had to google her character to remember who she was only to find some grisly pictures at the top of the image search gallery of her character’s face wrapped in plastic while apparently being buried alive after being shot. That’s a bit unfortunate, I guess the people who knew her probably don’t need to Google her to remind them who she was or what she looked like so probably won’t be upset by the images.

Ah that's a shame. I didn't think I knew her, but it turns out she was Tess in TLOU. :(

What a shame, such a versatile actress and so pretty with those freckles. She plays a scary serial killer on The Rookie too. Im surprised she never got a role to play in TLOU TV show(perhaps she was too ill to accept a role).

Rest in peace you lovely person.

Rapidly-greying is Mediocre to Average at games :fp:

Real shame this.

If you've never heard it, take ten minutes and put this on.

It is indeed superb, a true masterpiece.

Designer Paco Rabanne dies aged 88

The BBC wrote:Puig's fashion president, José Manuel Albesa, hailed Rabanne's designs, which he said "made transgression magnetic".

Dat magnetic transgression. :datass:

No idea what you're talking about. :shifty:

Turns out that Paco was batshit mental:

The BBC wrote:...he was also known for his provocative outbursts. At various stages he claimed to have had multiple lives, to have been some 78,000 years old, to have seen God and been visited by aliens.

And in 1999, he courted controversy after predicting in his book - Fire From Heaven - that Paris would be destroyed later that year when the Russian space station Mir crashed down to Earth. He said that he had foreseen the disaster from his reading of the 16th-Century French astrologer Nostradamus.
