Used to watch Friends all the time in the early 2000s when it was on E4 every day at 6pm or 7pm. Haven't regularly watched Friends for probably 15 years now.

Given Perry's history of drug usage, it's not too much of a surprise he died young-ish but it feels weird knowing he's dead given what a cultural phenomenon Friends was.

Sad to see this one, but as others have said, perhaps not the biggest surprise.

Saw it this morning whilst doing the MS Rewards points for Bing news searches, which was apt.

Trust there to be a twist involved with a story about M. Night Shymalan:

TV presenter and actress Annabel Giles has died after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in July.

She starred in children's show Razzmatazz, the 1993 film Riders and was a model for cosmetic brand Max Factor.

Confirming the death of their "incredible mother", her children said she had undergone brain surgery and radiotherapy treatment.

Daughter Molly and son Tedd said on X she was "one of a kind".

Giles, 64, was also known for her 2013 stint in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp and ITV's Posh Frocks And New Trousers with Sarah Greene.

Terry Venables, former England manager, has died aged 80.

One of the all-time great England managers, IMO. Euro 96 was truly a magical time.

That summer was one of the greatest times of my life.

RIP Terry. You couldn't be trusted with money, but who gives a gooseberry fool, Euro '96 was good enough that I'll forgive anything.
