Devastating. Captain Holt was my favourite Brooklyn 99 character :(

I hear he has temporarily forfeited his place in heaven to go down to hell and save the eternally damned from Madeleine Wuntch.

 Loved his acting, really sad loss.

No way, strawberry float. He wasn't even all that old. RIP :(

Genuinely saddened by that news. Amazing as Holt.
Rest in peace, Velvet Thunder.

Never saw him outside of Brooklyn 99 but he was one hell of a charismatic guy. RIP

I don't think a huge amount of people here watched it but he was great in Men of a Certain Age.

RIP

That's what I remember him most fondly from. Think he also did a few eps of House around that time?

Well that's certainly a shock, he'd been in it for decades! :(

Ah strawberry float. A true legend. He’d clearly not been well in recent appearances, with storylines accommodating his immobility/absence (staying with his granddaughter in Scotland).

ITV drama executive John Whiston said the actor was "one of those rare human beings who was as wonderful off screen as on", and was the "undoubted father of the show, but also its fun mischievous uncle".

Ah, now you’ve stuck that refrain in my mind for the afternoon. Only way to shift it is to break an egg into a pint.

I see they've changed it to just emerdale now. Takes less time to say, they can pack a lot more story in.
