The Last few weeks have had my youtube recommendations chock full of videos like "every lie in Supersize Me". Weird timing. Guess somewhere in the news cycle had got wind of him being ill.

RIP to a guy who had a massive influence of the landscape of documentary filmmaking. He also achieved a lot while apparently masking massive alcoholism, so props to that too.

In December 2017, Spurlock wrote a blog post admitting to what he called a history of sexual misconduct and saying that he was "part of the problem". In the post he says that he committed sexual misconduct in his past, including cheating on his past wives and girlfriends as well as settling a sexual harassment allegation. In the post he also said that he was accused of sexual assault while in college.

Feel like Charlie Colin from the band Train (know for Drops of Jupiter and Hey Soul Sister, I think I saw them play live) who passed away last week at 58 after slipping in the shower should get a mention.

Watched the BBC tribute programme tonight. It was heartbreakingly difficult to watch. Rob’s, literally, life long friend, Kevin Sinfield - what a man. I cried an awful lot. MND is such a horrible, cruel disease.

Hey, I predicted Liz Truss resigning to within 75 minutes.

Maybe something lost in translation in that early report. BBC say it was found in a rocky area beside a beach.

Symi's mayor said the body was found as teams were searching the coastline with cameras. A police source told BBC News the deceased had been dead "for a number of days". The body was found next to a fence. It has not been moved from the location, a few metres away from where children are playing in the water at Agia Marina beach.
