That I'm afraid is pure laziness on the part of the developer. It isn't hard to create a balanced achievement list, if you can't be bothered then you're effectively ignoring the achievement community and won't be getting any of my money.

Today I have a new hardest completion, as I finished off Laser League, currently rocking a ratio over 10 on TA. :toot:

It's more down to the length of time required rather than actual difficulty, but still...

Cut that one a bit fine!

I never even got round to starting it.

Yeah, I know! I'd made it up to about level 20 ages ago but then stopped, the incoming removal from Game Pass made me fire it up again. Been playing non-stop for the last couple of weeks, only just managed it.

It's bloody marvellous though. If (as I suspect) it goes GWG in the next few months I'd highly recommend giving it a whirl. Will probably increase the paltry playerbase too.

Nearly done with Saints Row IV on the PS4.

Annoying it's the "play game for XX hours" type of trophy that prevents me from getting the platinum. Looks like I've done 26 hours according to my game save file, but not of that was in the simulation world, so possibly other 15 hours in the simulation. Sigh.

I've done the first DLC, and I completed it pretty in a hour, then another hour to grind out the new weapons kill.

Got one more DLC pack to go through. Probably would be a hour to do. Then it's time to leave the PS4 on, and rubber banding to prevent the PS4 to go to sleep until the 40 hours trophy pops.

It's the worst trophy/achievement any developer can put in, to be honest.

So I've now done two versions of Metal Slug X in two days. Man, Game Pass for PC is going to be a tremendous boost to my Gamerscore if they keep adding stuff like that.

Attained the platinum for Shadow of the Colossus (PS4) on Thursday. Would've gotten it weeks sooner had I not kept getting distracted by photo-mode.

A very commendable remake with a genuinely brilliant twist.

Currently PC Game Pass games aren't required to have achievements so someone put together a useful list of which do or don't - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0

Also fairly easy to sort on TrueAchievements, 'Game Pass for PC' is a filter option on the games list here.

Obviously this way you can also find stuff like estimated completion times, difficulty ratio etc.

They aren't great but I'd always have to say the worst ones are luck based ones with the absloute pits being ones which encourage spend on Mircotransactions, such as FIFA's "Find a IF player by opening a pack"

I hate missable achievements and trophies, particularly in long games. Blue Dragon on 360 is notoriously bad for this. Most of the trophies are tied to winning mini-games throughout the game which you only get one chance at.

Just played through pretty much the whole of Hellblade again to pick up a missed collectible (although I am also playing it through on Windows 10, lightening the load somewhat). Just strawberry floating put chapter select in your games, you bastards. :x

I have done it by rubber band the DualShock, parked my character into a corner so he can't really moved and went to bed. In the morning, it was all done. :toot:

Wolfenstein: The New Order seems quite liberal at giving out the achievements. Definitely one to get the 1,000 on.

Yep, I have 1000 on that and the (slightly more difficult) Old Blood. Apparently Wolfenstein II is very difficult though.

On another note, I've spent a chunk of time while off work sick smashing through Rare: Replay - I'd only picked up something like 20/200 achievements before this as I didn't realise there was a rewind function in a lot of the older games. I'm now pushing 3,000/4,000 in score.

It's an absolutely fantastic package though isn't it? Absolutely should be used as a how to guide for compilation games going forward.

Aye, Rare Replay is great. I really ought to go back and finish it off, I stopped playing it because some of the N64 games are a bit more lengthy.
