Hehe, I just *knew* that Preezy was waving a big red PSP flag for you to pick up on  .

I actually preferred the PSP to the DS, used it far more frequently overall.

The Saturn was the only Sega console (aside from the SG-1000) which I never owned during its lifespan. It's a great console and I wish it had been more successful.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

A Dragon... awesome! I've never really used one but they were always on display in my local Tandy store.

Oh, and welcome back, Poser!

It was technically very limited. Didn't even have lower case text hardwired in, and the colour pallet was a bit bizarre. I have a lot of affection for it, or I would if it hadn't remained my only means of playing games well into the early 90s when the rest of the world was embracing the SNES and Mega Drive

And thanks for the welcome back. In truth, I still lurk on here most days, I just don't have the time to post so much any more. And my gaming time has taken a huge hit as well. That's life with two kids, I guess.

We had a Dragon 32 as well, I can't believe you managed with just that until the 90s. There was barely anything on it in its heyday. Loved that Time Bandit game and the Chuckie Egg rip off was also good.

Don't... I have huge nostalgia for the NES and SNES based on playing at my cousin's house. Looking back, I never felt like we were poor at the time, but we probably were. Mum just baulked at the price of games.

She eventually relented on an Amiga because - and I'm not making this up - you could pirate games. I did have a huge collection of boxed legit stuff though.

I'll be honest, my favourite publisher on ST was the Pompey Pirates.

I forgot about this one - Stellar Assault was an amazing co-op experience.

I very nearly purchased an Atari Jaguar near the end of its original lifecycle. I would frequently see clearance-priced Jaguar games and systems advertised in game shop fliers and was always tempted to buy them, but I lacked disposable income at the time and couldn't afford another console. Fast forward to about 10 years later, I wanted to play a console version of NBA Jam and did some research into the various ports. I read mixed opinions, but the general consensus seemed to be that the best version was either on Atari Jaguar or Sega Saturn. I decided on the Jaguar, which started an avalanche of collecting that has led to me owning essentially every CIB retail and homebrew release for the system.

Last year I finally bought a Saturn as well and installed a Fenrir ODE to play disc images. The Saturn seems to be experiencing a bit of a renaissance and there is even a new method for online play. Just last weekend I played a few games of Puzzle Bobble and Sega Rally against an online opponent. I would definitely recommend the Saturn to anyone looking for a good "late retro" experience.

Ah! I recall Jaguars being sold off cheap - often by Silica Shop and TV Games if I remember correctly! - and I was tempted on several occasions, Sargon. The Jag was a system that seemed to be pretty cool; I liked the look of the bold, chunky polygonal visuals. It seems that there is a very hardcore group of Jag fans who have created some amazing stuff for the console over the years.

If I were to own a Jag I'd definitely want to try Tempest 2000, Cybermorph and Club Drive!
