makes it sound like Mysterio?

In the post credits scene, you mean?

I heard it was Norman Osborne.

Re: Post-credits scene. It makes a lot more sense to build up Norman Osborne seeing as he's spidey's number 1 villain (or at least top 3) and with Gwen Stacey in play. I'd be shocked if they didn't replicate the comics in that way

End spoiler stuff Already seen Green Goblin as a villain in the previous films, I'd rather not see him as the main villain again unless they go with the Ultimate version of him.

Yeah I doubt they will do that. That movie isn't old enough.

For all those thinking the 3rd film would have been fine if the villain mess had been sorted out, I present to you irrefutable evidence it wouldn't not have:

Toby Maguire was such a gooseberry fool Peter Parker.

Going to see the new film at 6 today.

That's related to Venom though. Sort out emo-Peter/Symbiote Spiderman as part of sorting out Venom in general. Why they didn't go with the comics version of Eddie Brock - a roided up headcase with a serious, serious chip on his shoulder - is beyond me.

Hrrm. As much as he is Spidey's no. 1 villain I think Willem Dafoe did a good enough job in the first three films to put a stop on them using him again. I'd like to see a bit of variety - Spiderman has one of the biggest and best rogues gallery in comic books and I think they can use it to their advantage. Mysterio, the Kingpin, Chameleon, Kraven the mummy strawberry floating Hunter, Electro, Hammerhead, Hydro-Man, Kaine( :shifty: ), Tombstone, Rhino, Scorpion or even Morlun(who would make a great film villain if they could re-write his backstory to fit).

The next villain should be venom done right leading up to carnage. I know no one wants to see venom again after last time but I want to see him done right and as the main focus.

Was going to see it tonight myself but think I'll leave it to next week after the reviews. No major rush.

I'd actually like to see Maximum Carnage done as well.

Off to see this tonight.

Remarkably unhyped.

It almost feels like going out of expectation rather than desire

Going to see this tomorrow night in 3D (don't really want to see another Spiderman film but my mates do) hopefully it will be good. The 3D trailer I saw during Prometheus was very good though, with a few bits where spiderman jumped out of the screen. The 3D is the main reason why I am going to see it.

can't see any 3d now so definitely wouldn't be catching that version. I imagine it'll work quite well with this.

I'd see it in 3D if I wasn't being so cheap at the minute. 2D tomorrow afternoon for under £4 will do me.

I'd hate for 3D being one of the main reasons why I'd like to see a film.
