It was a good start, Milner - as you say, the event was a cool pace to explore and meet the characters. I took my time doing that and took a break once I reached the first fight sequence. That's where I'll pick up later!

Kamala is great and the single player adventure is pretty good, but fighting the same faceless aimbots in repetitive levels gets boring by the end.

Got to the real action and I'm very impressed by the graphics; the debris and lighting is so good. The photo mode is super-neat, too - I'm pausing every few seconds just to scan around with the camera!

£26 on PS now

I think that's pretty tempting given it includes everything. I'm hovering over the buy option. Only thing that's putting me off is other stuff from this year I've missed out on and would like to play. Fat chance of Deathloop or Returnal being that cheap anytime soon though.

Yeah, the Endgame Edition at £26.99 from the PlayStation Store drew me in, CK. I bought a £25 credit from ShopTo for just under £23 to save an extra couple of quid, too.

I’ll be booting it back up in the next few days and then again on November 30th. Most of my heroes are heading towards the level cap :fp:

Apparently the trailer for the Spider-Man character will launch on IGN's website tomorrow.

The suit design seems a little bland, to me. Maybe it’s to get people to pony up some cheddar for more outfits.

Even though I'm a PlayStation owner and have this game, the fact that Spider-Man is exclusive to the PS formats doesn't feel right. The game is multi-format and fencing certain characters off from certain formats isn't a good move from a gamer's perspective.

Spider-Man will have some pretty cool suits available... including this noir one:

Hmmn. IGN aren't too complimentary in their preview of the new Spider-Man character. I think it was always gonna be tough as we already have some fantastic Spider-Man games on PlayStation and this is a very different game. But, hey, the update is free and I'm sure it'll be a fun addition.

Looks a bit poor when you compare it to Insomniac's Spidey, its nice this is a free update but watching that doesn't make me want to re-install this to play through his content.

playing on gamepass on xbox I obviously wont be getting the Spiderman stuff which is a shame, but as much as I wouldnt want to pay for costumes it is kind of impressive how much a better costume can help you give a toss about the game/character.... a set of costumes were given away on gamepass for free and there these white avengers costumes slapping one on the hulk and the young girl instantly made me like them more, I cant stand her in her street clothes or the homemade style costume.

The big new update launches today and this video is a deep-dive into it all. It looks to be pretty good!

Dayum, Spider-Man is great in this. His special skills are useful, the web-swinging is really useful and the use of the intrinsic meter is the best out of all the characters. Voice actor is a bit squeaky for me.

Rumours abound that She-Hulk could be the next hero to join the game.
