Was hoping for more tie in to the movies but definitely intrigued based off what they showed last night. I don't see any problem with it being GaaS, in fact it seems the best choice for something like this to tell an evolving story without having to wait years between sequels. There are just as many examples of GaaS being done well as there are poorly and with the money and talent behind this I have faith they'll pull it off. Plus with future updates being free I see no reason not to give it a shot. Can't wait to see some gameplay.

Only concern I have atm is how it will work cross generation. If I want to stay up to date with new content for the game over a year or more am I going to have to buy it twice or keep two consoles hooked up to the tv.

Announced two and a half years ago and that's the best they can come up with? Looks like porn parody Avengers with the most boring, predictable lineup possible along with the most boring, predictable voice cast possible. Nolan North as Nolan North as Tony Stark :fp:

My first thought would be the current gen versions will be dropped and to get the new content will be to move on to the remastered edition.

Also my biggest gripe with GaaS is that I feel like I'm missing out on content if I can't play when the developers expect me to play. As long as this evolving content is playable at any point after it's released then that would be a plus. Or at least not a negative anyway.

It's gone from a day 1 to I'll pick it up a few months later or on next gen systems maybe.

You wasn't a fan of Thor's banter then?

Or his gooseberry fool looking beard. The character models apart from the Hulk look like some random create-a-character stuff. Someone on ResetEra pointed out Tony Stark looks like Jeff Gertsmann with a beard and I can't unseen it

This game looks so miserable, at least Ultimate Alliance 3 has a bit of personality about it and looks fun.

That was pretty impressive for real time, right up there with Spider-man

I thought the rumours were that this was a sort of City of Heroes/create your own hero thing with the actual Avengers being NPCs?

Something like that did go round but then the rumours became more of a Destiny like coop game where each person on the team plays one of the original Avengers.

oh god I didn't see that  Tony Gertsmann

I watched it again and everything looks so dark and grey. Even the enemies look boring.

I get that they probably couldn't afford to pay for the image rights from Downey Jnr et al but surely they could have got Marvel to let them use the actual comic book characters?

This look so incredibly generic. Is this the one that has taken the Deus Ex team away from that franchise? For shame!

It's really hard to come away with a positive impression when they don't show us any of the actual game. It's even more annoying when they're telling people to come to the booth to see it.

Would it have killed them to actually show the rest of us.

This year has been horrendous for cinematic and pre-rendered footage. The lack of actual gameplay show is horrendous.

That was a really disappointing reveal - still no idea what the game is really about or how it will play and the lack of gameplay footage was a real shame. The human character models are awful too - hopefully they work on the faces and particularly the hair before launch because otherwise it will look really poor for a current generation game.

The Direct went through a really grim moment of four games, three looking meh and one we knew as much as we needed to know about (date aside). This was Game 2 of that. Ho hum, they can't all be winners.

EDIT: Bugger, I thought this was Ninty exclusive one you were talking about. Never mind! Read the bloody title next time chum. :fp:

I would say it looks more like a slightly fatter version of Jack Whitehall.
