You are WRONG.

Mankind Divided didn't deliver on it's promises, sure, but it's still a great game and the franchise ultimately deserved more. I hope it gets another chance sometime in the future - for the next-gen of course as they'll likely expand this 'MGU' for a few years yet if Spiderman and this Avengers project are successful.

Nerds have noticed that the colours in the frames on the left and right are infinity stone colours... so there should finally be something on show this year

I think it’s a given this is finally shown off this year. It’s been quiet for a year and half since it was announced.

Here's hoping. I think this has the potential to create as much buzz as Cyberpunk this year.

Embrace your powers and join key members of the development team at Crystal Dynamics and the creative team at Marvel Games as they talk exclusively about the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers. This is the defining Avengers gaming experience: an epic action-adventure that combines cinematic storytelling with continuous single-player and co-operative gameplay. Moderated by Andrea Rene, assemble in teams up to four players, master extraordinary abilities, customize your heroes to fit your playstyle, and combine powers to defend an ever-expanding world under constant threat.

I've seen rumours about this following the Destiny gameplay model. I've never played Destiny but that description-teams of up to 4 and co-operative gameplay fits doesn't it?

I can see this being massive if they get it right. They're clearly doing an infinity stones storyline judging by the Tweet pictures.

"Up to four players". Sigh. We're not constrained by controller ports any more, why is four people still the limit in co-op?

More players Ardmore taxing meaning lesser physics and visuals? Maybe? Tweet and ask?

At least Nintendo is there with UA3 if this turns out to be a massive bag of gooseberry fool :fp: but I remain somewhat hopeful that this will still be worth my hype :simper:

I'm not saying it won't be GaaS but Liam Robertson isn't the more reliable of sources.

I hope it's not a case of "make your own Avenger!". I don't want to play as some fan-fic character alongside Iron-Man, Cap, Thor etc. I want to play as them.

I'm happy for some customisation of those characters, but not a character creator.

Oh and Gaas can strawberry float off.

There's plenty of ways they could do customisation options. For example, Avengers Assemble Thor v Endgame Thor.

From what I can gather this is an online co-op action game and, even though it looked like a dream come true, I was rather hoping for something different. So long as it delivers on making you truly feel the part, with great, cinematic action and a serviceable story, I think the initial recoil over the online aspect will settle eventually.

EDIT:

More gameplay seems to be scheduled for tomorrow also.

:fp: So all that wait and teasing for a CGI trailer? Oh well, at least they're promising no pay-to-win or loot boxes.

Hopefully the game will be fully playable on single-player.
