It looks so slow. The Iron Man stuff in particular, why doesn't he just fly above the bridge at 10 times the speed.?

It just looks slow and ponderous and like it lacks any sense of power/power fantasy :(

That's an extended version of the E3 footage it seems, so it's very much still

Thor = God of War
Stark = Anthem
Black Widow = Tomb Raider + QTE mania.

It's very cinematic, but massively uninspired looking so far.

It looks like a movie tie-in game that we were flooded with in the early 2000s, just feels very generic and bland. The video looks very much like the game is on the rails following the set route and that's it.

Thor's gameplay reminds me of The Force Unleashed for some reason

I'm not convinced by this

This is so underwhelming so far, really hoping after this prologue the game really opens up. I have faith that Crystal Dynamics can pull this off but it’s not been a great showing so far.

It also makes you worry for the rumoured GOTG game from Square and if that will suffer from the same problems.

The official Twitter account has started post3d videos focusing on a specific Avenger. So far they have shown Thor and Black Widow but it looks like they have updated the character models.

To our fans,

At Crystal Dynamics our ambition has always been to deliver the ultimate Avengers gaming experience. In order to achieve that goal, we have made the difficult decision to move the release date of Marvel’s Avengers to September 4, 2020.

As fans ourselves, it’s an honor and a privilege to work with these legendary characters and we know what these Super Heroes mean to us and True Believers around the world. When we set out to bring you our vision for Marvel’s Avengers, we committed to delivering an original story-driven campaign, engaging co-op, and compelling content for years to come. To that end, we will spend this additional development time focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards our fans expect and deserve.

The worldwide teams working on Marvel’s Avengers sincerely appreciate the support you’ve shown us. We thrive on your enthusiasm and feedback and we can’t wait to show you more. We apologize for the delay. We’re confident it will be worth the wait.

Co-Heads of Studio, Crystal Dynamics

Can't see this as being anything other than a disappointment, but you never know I guess.

I wouldn't be surprised if they've pushed it back to do more work on the character models.

Is there anyone genuinely looking forward to this? I don't think I've seen such a universally disappointed reaction to a big game in a long time.

I’m looking forward to this mostly as I like the stuff Crystal Dynamics have put up in recent years. The showings this has had have been underwhelming but I have faith they can pull this off.

The game so far looks a mess tbh, I wouldn't be surpirsed if it got delayed again.

This will be crossgen presumably? I thought it was a GaaS style game which seems a daft thing to release at the end just as a new gen is about to kick off.

It just looks weird.... As deep as a puddle, heavily scripted and just awkward.

Wish my image sig would work

It’s like a throwback to the era of shitty movie tie ins albeit with a decent budget so the special effects and lighting look nice, but still lacking any of the charm and character of the films. Obviously the real actors was impossible but they still could have done better. It just feels so generic.
