I want to say that not using a capital letter has nothing to do with making a mistake or even being lazy.

I actually just like the little i. It's not as absolute as the big I. It's quite friendly.

Firstly, I'm fairly certain he was mocking the quoted poster there. Secondly, spelling mistakes are not one of the available lists.
