Great thread Moderator Eighthours. This is what has to be in order, a crackdown. I despise the idea of when we see people misusing our angelic language. Is this what we have lowered ourselves to? I will heartily agree with Moderator Eighthours when he will choose and ban anyone for misusing an exclamation mark.

God gave us words so we could communicate as fellow human beings on an equal level, and he will quickly and swiftly deal justice on those who abuse our language. Look at Roger Ebert for example, he was insulting our video games and then god took away his gift of speech.

This forum is a sacred grove, it needs to be free of spelling heretics and punctuation violators. No one should try and change the way this place works, so put the extra effort into spelling, or else you will lose everything before you blink your eyes. Only when you lose something will you know how great it is. Grde® must never change.

I don't know where else to put this, but people people viewing this thread will probably enjoy it.

What's the plot?

A group of pre-maddona actors are left in the jungle to fend for themselves in this hilarious new action comedy - ‘Tropic Thunder’.

A who’s who of the world’s best actors are hired to star in the most expensive war film ever made. When film costs balloon, three time Oscar winning actor Kirk Lazarus (Robert Downey Jr), gross out comedian Jeff Portnoy (Jack Black) and all star action hero Tugg Speedman (Ben Stiller) are airlifted into the jungle of South East Asia and unknowingly encounter the bad guys in a real life war zone.

Almost certainly intentional, though.

No, he used 'teh', but then didn't pluralise 'Copper' with a 'z'; so it still counts, for simple inconsistency.

There's no need to put a "z" in the noun after "teh", surely. :?

The "teh" was intentional, obviously.

Please read the nomination rules. You have to specify the error, and can’t leave me to work it out. You would be -1, but because you’re on 0 already no penalty will be applied.

This is an awesome game, by the way.

And so here are the standings at the end of Round Two:

END OF ROUND TWO Nominations Leaderboard
JV: 10
Hexx: 9
Poncho: 8
El Diablo Rojo 52: 4
aaronayl1: 1
Benj: 1
Shadow: 1
Igor: 1
Clarkman: 1
Pilch: 1

Congratulations to JV, whose determined actions deservedly took him ahead of a sulking Hexx. MCN continued to battle valiantly, but sadly remained rooted to 0 points after a series of "you haven't read the rules" blunders, both on his own nominations and while trying to catch other players out!

As the apostrophe and no capitals lists fill up, it's going to get harder to find new people to populate them.
I'm therefore now accepting nominations for new categories for Round Three, which will begin later today. The thread will remain unlocked to discuss the current state of play and proposed categories.

Lack of capital letters in general, could be separate to having capital letters at the start of a sentence.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of people not capitalising their 'I's correctly.

I had quite the internal struggle about it, but reasoned that as I was an innocent, a mere child when I held that belief, and this website is hopefully not run by pre-teens, that I am justified in now facepalming the mistake. Haven't all become who we are now from an origin of ignorance, and is it not the journey of learning and gaining knowledge that makes us who we are, and allows us to fairly judge those among us who we deem should be as enlightened as we are now when they make these small mistakes?

Y'know?

This is a great game, Eight - you should have done this ages ago! Think it's too late to join? I'd hate to loose...

Suggestions -

- general UK spelling (although that might make things too easy?)

- inappropriate use of 'a' instead of 'an'

- lack of a question-mark when clearly asking a question

- lack of a full-stop at the end of a sentence

- lack of capitalisation on names and places (excluding forumite names - such as 'mic')

Perhaps that last one is going too far...

Oh, and double-negatives, like "I ain't done nothin!"

I really can't stand that sort of thing.

I think somebody already suggested inappropriate use of 'was' instead of 'were'.

To save me trawling through the thread, could someone tell me where I used an apostrophe incorrectly please? Ta.
