Yes I was thinking that would work! How do you add the rum?

There's a cocktail called a dirty monkey which uses banana and dark rum :datass:

We've done it a couple of ways in the past. One option is to slice the bananas down one side early and soak the whole thing in rum for an hour or two before, then when you're ready you get the bananas out, stick the chocolate in the sliced part and stick on the BBQ.

Other way we tried was to do the bananas and chocolate on the BBQ and just add rum afterwards - open the banana up a bit and pour over a small amount of rum and set it alight for that extra degree of pizzazz!

"Watch this!"

Doing fillet steak on the barbecue tonight. My wife has done a very thin marmite, salt and pepper glaze on it, which made a fantastic crust on the last steaks we did. We're going to have some spicey wedges (making them ourselves), a pepper, cream and mushroom sauce, and some peppers. And because I've got tomorrow off OIIII OIIIIIIIII :datass:

I'm doing fake Nandos. Got some peri peri rub, going to give the meat a good rub.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

We do this quite often. It comes out surprisingly well pretty much every time, seemingly the only way it can go wrong is if you over-cook it.

That said, I suspect the secret is in the technique. I always watch my wife rubbing the meat – she knows I can't be trusted to rub my own because I'll do it for too long and ruin everything.

I suck at Cooking Chicken on the BBQ. Terrified of under cooking and killing everyone. Any tips/techniques?

For this I've got two breasts which I'm going to cut and flatten out. The flatter the breasts the easier it is to not undercook.

I love watching my wife rub my meat. She made her ribs the other day so let me document it for here. I'm surprised she was ok with me taking photos of her rack to show online, let alone a full rack, but let me she did. I'll start a topic later to show them. She also let me jerk on them.

Listen guys, we all know you like rubbing your meat, but there’s really no need to come in here and slap us in the face with it. It can be a bit much to keep having it shoved down our throats.

Make sure it's nice and pink, and it should feel pretty hard when you give it a squeeze.

I've bought a instant read precision meat thermometer. The instructions say I need to insert the long thin metal probe into the thickest part of the pink meat when juices are running clear.
