From this mornings research, it would look like you're paying a premium for the brand that doesn't equal the jump in quality you'd expect for the cost. If I was made of money I'd definitely get one.
I know Weber has a good reputation but I've never used one so can't comment personally.
Our current BBQ is just a random one that I picked up from B&Q for about £60, we've had it for nearly 10 years and it's never given me any problems!

At a place I used to work at, we were having the proper barbecue v outdoor gas grill discussion, and a gas apologist went strawberry floating nuts over it, properly lost his gooseberry fool

We've got a good few hundred pounds of nectar points saved up so will probably order a grill from Homebase or something to be here in a few weeks time. I really do prefer a real barbecue, but on days like today where we don't have enough of the right coal, the convenience of a gas grill makes the difference between having a barbecue or not at all.

I ordered a gas grill.
The gas/propane (and propane accessories) bottle alone was nearly £100
I feel so dirty.

Just had a bloody amazing burger. BBQs with only two people are so much better
less faffing around, can just crack on with exactly what you want.
Aberdeen Angus steak burger
Streaky bacon
Seeded bun
Shredded iceberg lettuce
Diced onion
Slice of cheese
Sliced gherkin
Tomato ketchup + mayonnaise mixture
Incredible. Had a sausage bap after and it simply paled in comparison to the burger.

That sounds superb
Last 2 days we've had our barbecue food done in the oven (due to the crappy briquette situation). We had a massive barbecue pack from the local butcher delivered, and my god there was so much good food in there. We ate early both days so we could have lots of sunlight and not be moving stuff aroundavoiding shadows.
We had burgers, chicken wings and legs (that had some sticky honey and barbecue glaze on), venison kebabs, chicken kebabs, sausages, pork steaks and of course lots of franks hot sauce.
Got nicely pissed both days

We had another BBQ yesterday, too. Last time a full chimney starter only gave us about 45 mins of useful heat, so we bought another and filled both.
It was so hot it cooked the burgers in under 2 minutes.
