Just bought Tetris Link from Amazon :click:

I've had my eye on it for awhile, and just noticed that the price has nosedived over 50% since I added it to my wish list to a stupidly low £6.99, so I've taken the plunge.

Looks like fun, can't wait to play it :D

Currently staying with one of the biggest board game geeks in the world, well, Denmark. He has so many board games, it's like a shop!

Had a fun game of Ascention today and that one with all the dice, Quariorrors. Played some fun games of Umbongo (wrong name?) and Heckmeck, also a few Zombie themed games.

Expect pictures when I get back, or follow me on twitter and check instagram. Hey! That's my Fish was also a lot of fun for such a simple game.

I played a game of Settlers of Catan with my Dad, my Brother and his friend. I didn't win but I forgot how fun it was to play!

Now to try and get them to play again...

Lego Grand Theft Auto... You KNOW you would buy it.

I used to play settlers quite a lot, and it was the cause of the most swearing and hilariously inventive cursing I have ever experienced during a board game.

GRCade board-game meetup go? :shifty:

It has an excellent iOS version if you're interested, as do Carcassonne, Catan and Ticket to Ride.

I've loved board games for quite some time, but it's a rare treat when I actually convince anyone to play the things with me. Here's my list:

Settlers of Catan
Carcassonne
Ticket to Ride: Europe

La Havre (never played because it's incomprehensible :shifty: )
Prophecy
Battlestar Galactica
Dungeoneer
Zombies!!!
Munchkin
Risk
Lord of the Rings Risk

Risk (2008) (Believe it or not, I actually don't much like Risk)
Summoner Wars
Wrath of Ashardalon
The Legend of Drizzt
Arkham Horror
Space Hulk (3rd Edition)
Starcraft
Battlelore
Lord of the Rings

I think that's it. :shifty:

Like I said though, I hardly ever get to play the things. Most of those have only been played once, so I don't bother to buy new games as much as I used to. There's a board game group that meets in Birmingham once a month, so I've been meaning to check that out at some point.

I have the above games, plus:

Game of Thrones CCG
Lord of the Rings Risk (Complete)
Diplomacy (A bit too hardcore)
Godstorm Risk
Star Wars Risk

I do like my Risk.

I really hate how many shitty spin off version there are of Monopoloy, how does the game even make sense? Putting a hotel on Bison, few house on Ryu? :fp:

The board looks a mess, they could at least theme Jail and Parking.

It also teaches the really bad lesson to impressionable people; that people are property, commodities to be managed, bought and sold like any other.

It may as well be re-titled Monopoly: Slavery Edition.

Picked up one of the Dungeon Command sets off Amazon for around £18. It was discussed on one of the recent Gamers with jobs podcasts and it sounded quite interesting. Actual box is a bit flimsy but the stuff in it looks really nice quality.

I played "Tales of the Arabian Nights" the other day and thought it was really cool.

You travel around the globe as Sinbad, Ali Baba etc. and have "encounters" where you draw a card which will have a number on it, then choose an action (fight, talk, run etc.) and someone has a book of matrices where they find a story number based on your action and then someone tells you the tale of what happened from "The Book of Tales".

Depending on your skills, different things can happen (for example, one of the guys decided to choose "honour" when faced with a "strange customs" encounter and ended up having to marry someone's daughter...)

Not sure if that makes any sense, at any rate it was cool to play a game where the stories entertained you and you didn't really mind who ended up winning :D

Going to repeat myself and say that if you're not already watching Shut Up and Sit Down then what are you even doing with your life? New episode out and everything.

I bought Pandemic after watching it on Tabletop. Great game that I think my parents got into more than me, and I thought it was excellent!

I want that LOTR game Middle Earth Quest after watching it on SU+SD. It looked immense.
