Esoteric/entirely self-interested request and I can see the PC version has been played, but is there any interest in the XBox 360 port of Duke Nukem 3D if the servers are still up?

Server is open for business folks. I'll be on around 8pm as usual.

It wouldn't be my cup of tea (Don't have the XB version and it's controller based) but I wouldn't be averse to revisiting the PC version (Or any of the games we've done so far) on a Friday night or something.

If someone wants to organise it I'll get the servers going again.

Thanks for the games! Only one truly awful match from me tonight so it's all good.

Yeah some good games last night.

I feel bad for Chocolate Milk (Ainsley). He finally got in just as we all left. :fp:
But always welcome to join in next week and beyond!

Speaking of next week, we will be having the biggest three-way in the galaxy with Aliens Vs Predator (The classic 2000 one).
Pretty sure Qikz requested this one so hopefully get him back as well.

I'll get the instructions up over the weekend at some point but I'm curious to see how this one goes down. :D

Yes good games, I enjoyed it even if I couldn't find a weapon half the time before being killed.
And shout out to Cora a fellow gentleman face to face shooter :wub:

Aliens Versus Predator Classic 2000

Image

What you will need to play this week:

Aliens Versus Predator Classic 2000 - Steam or GoG version

GoG Installer
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HVq6PM6DSTEqMdxoIHaXRKj8vZLOWfP0/view?usp=drive_link

NOTE: There is a chance the GoG version here won't let you play without having a paid copy of the game.
You can buy the game here for £4.79 - https://www.gog.com/en/game/aliens_vers ... assic_2000
Or from Steam for £4.29 - https://store.steampowered.com/app/3730 ... ssic_2000/
I do recommend the Steam version in this case.

Basic Setup
=========

1. Install the game using the version of your choice.
2. Launch the game

NOTE: Steam users will get a window pop-up. Click the red CROSSPLAY option (This is so we can play with people outside of steam).
Also, the main menu seems to be locked at 640x480 or some other gooseberry fool resolution. The resolution you choose in the settings WILL apply when in the actual game. Just the menu does this.
The UI also doesn't scale too well at really high resolutions.

That's it. Probably the first "it just works" game since Quake 2

Joining the Server
==============

1. Start the game and go to the multiplayer option.
2. Select "Join existing game" and it will show you a list of active servers.
3. Join the GRcade one!

I definitely recommend looking up the keybindings for this, especially for the Alien and Predator classes.

As always, any questions let me know.
