It took me about a second to download it so I assume it's all in the MC Collection download. Need to check though.

Yeah everyone who can should make sure and have at least Halo 2 MP installed before tonight.

If you're on PC Gamepass it might be worth making sure it's all working fine. I booted it up the other day and at some point in the past two weeks it had decided to uninstall the Easy-Anti Cheat software and wouldn't load. Was easy enough to fix (Had to find the setup for EAC in the install dir and run it) but it's definitely representative of how strawberry floating weird PC gamepass games can be. Literally just broke on it's own for no reason I'm aware of.

I might be a little bit later tonight so feel free to start without me, but I will try and get on for starting.

Yeah mine was a 10 meg download which seems suspicious...

Going to give it a quick test in my lunch break just to make sure it's actually working

Multiplayer seems to have two options: "Halo 2 Classic" and "Halo 2 Anniversary" - are we going with the latter?

Yeah. All about that "Classic" Halo 2 combat. lol

I would install both if you can but Classic is the one we'll go with I think.

I think I installed everything last time, and can load a classic halo 2 game fine!

Will be about 30 mins late today as I'm volunteering beforehand.

Well despite Microsoft doing it's best to strawberry float us all over with how hard it is to actually get anything running we had some great games there!

Actually found myself enjoying Halo 2 a lot more that I was expecting to so very much looking forward to next week as well :toot:

Hey, Dev, I know that you've mentioned Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition before and it has just received a new update. The changes include cross-platform multiplayer (PC, Switch, PlayStation and Xbox) so perhaps it could be a candidate for one of your Wednesday battle nights?

> Full patch notes
Rise of the Triad Version 1.1 - full patch notes (13th April 2024)

Added
Cross-platform multiplayer.
Added the final alternate actor, the lightning guard.
A new setting that allows players to prevent automatically switching weapons on pickup.
Text chat button has been added to multiplayer menus.
Level statistics: such as kill and secret counts, have been added to the map screen.

Changed
Fonts now have slashed 0's to make them easier to read.
Online timeout has been adjusted to 20 seconds.
Better default sound settings that are less ear-splitting.
(Switch, Sony) Significant performance improvements when looking at floor or ceiling textures.

Fixed
Various rendering glitches that were noticed at higher resolutions have been fixed.
Significant improvements to online lobbies have been made, making connections more reliable.
Numerous shortcomings with the netcode have been addressed, especially in instances of low bandwidth.
It is no longer possible to get stuck in the game upon connection to a server that shuts down during level load.
Booting into the editor now no longer has messed-up camera controls.
Platform icon is no longer stretched in the scoreboard.
Killing Big John with a flamewall or god ball no longer softlocks the game.
Many instances of menu stack corruption have been addressed, solving various softlocks.
Title screen has many fewer missing pixels at the bottom of each column of pixels.
Rumble no longer persists between levels.
Default music tracks no longer cause excess CPU usage.
Disabling freelook now snaps the view to the horizon.
Using the "No target" cheat code during the oscuro battle no longer crashes the game.
HUD Preview is now properly cleared when the menu is exited via unconventional means.
(Consoles) Default binds are now no longer merged with user-provided binds.
(Sony) Music no longer stops playing in instances where it incorrectly stopped.
(Switch) Going from docked to handheld mode no longer prevents controllers from being used.

I strawberry floating love ROTT. It's ridiculous, fast and a little bit bonkers.

I would be up for doing a week of it at some point.

Well spotted fella! The world becomes a brighter place every time a multiplayer game gets crossplay :toot:
