It's got more options and modes than Q1 as far as I can tell, but it plays quite similarly, being a sequel.

Yeah assumed as much - I'm interested in how the weapon loadout plays - thinking the Railgun is going to be pretty popular!

Who's up for some games tonight then?

I think we're on Q1 again tonight, but if people would rather do QII that's fine with me as well.

I've got both installed so it's no bother either way. I'll be on the discord from 8ish I think.

Me too. I've moved my mapping onto Q2 now and I do think it has a better weapon set than Quake. Not least because it brings back the BFG.
The Railgun is a beast.

Aayl and Qikz said they were gonna try and join tonight and hopefully Jazzem will pop in again too.

I'll be on after the boy's asleep, will be after nine but hopefully not too much after nine!

How do I do Discord by the way? It seems to be working fine but is there a room or something I have to join?

There's a GRcade server, but for the life of me I don't know how you find it.
I'll get an invite link generated when I get online later and post it in the thread.

Once you get in there a list of chat channels and voice channels on the left. You should be able to see the one with users in it.
Just click on it and away you go. :D

Plus we'll be about if you need any help.

Fantastic games again tonight. Thanks to Aayl and Dowbocop for joining us.
Really having a great time with it. Just a shame we only discovered how fun the Horde mode is right at the end.
The 4 modern maps made by Machine Games are great fun too.

I'm having some issues with the upload for Unreal Tournament, but my plan is still to do that next week if I can. If not, Quake II Remastered can fill that spot.

I'm glad this is getting a positive reception. I know the audience for multiplayer games has changed drastically since the 90's but these classic games are still really good fun.
Thanks to everyone who has joined in so far. It's been great.

More than welcome. :D

Yeah we've been having a good time with it. Glorious chaos, especially on the smaller, more compact levels.
It's nice to have a couple of hours a week set aside to indulge in these classics.

Aayl streamed the games last night so you can see him doing quite well.

Again, the more the merrier. :D

I think he was, yeah. It's what we usually do when we stream multiplayer games like this, Mario Kart or F-Zero.
Sorry, I never even thought to mention it.
