I'd love to play. I'm around 1200 Rapid.

Actually, that's a good idea, if people have a rating could they include that?

I'll play. As I said on the other page I haven't played since the tournament but I often think I should get back into it!

For any Always Sunny fans in here, there is a great episode in the newest season where they parody this controversy

I would be interested in joining a tournament. Not sure of my rating but I would put myself as know the basics, but crap against anyone half competent

Shotgun King: Final Checkmate is free on Amazon Games. It's an indie Chess-themed turn based strategy roguelike where you only have a King left but that King has a shotgun. Thought people in here might appreciate it!

So this GRcade tournament didn't seem to get much traction, but in related news I will be participating in a real life OTB tournament next week in Birmingham! Super nervous about it, I don't really go out very much so it's kind of a big step for me. I'll keep you all informed as to how I get on. :)

Thanks Dowbo!

There's a 7 year old girl in my category. :fp:

Finished on 2/7, which obviously isn't great but I enjoyed the experience a lot. Something to improve on. :)

Congratulations! It's great to hear that you enjoyed it and I think 2 wins is still something to be proud of (but then I'm always happy just to get to 1 win :slol: ).

Thank you. All the games were close and I had chances to win in most of them. I was pretty happy with my play overall, need to work on my endgame technique I think.

I wasn't paired with her thankfully. She finished on 5.5/7 and came second overall.

She got off easy

Joking aside, 2 wins in a tournament is really great, I'd be far too anxious to ever do anything like that. Glad you had fun and I hope you do even better next time!

Good on you mhtl.

I'm terrible over the board, I've just played online too much, it's what I'm used to. I just can't see the board in the same way!

Yeah I know what you mean. My last match had a massive miscalculation on my part which I don't think I'd have made online. And I was waaaaay more anxious playing in real life, taking too much time over moves that should have been obvious. But it was good fun, hopefully gonna try again soon.
