GG, I really gave it away at the end. I've just accepted your challenge.

Yeh I think you just didn't quite see the mounting danger until it was too late, once I got those two knight moves in (1 check and 1 attacking the queen) then I think it was near enough forced mate. I actually thought you were going to blunder mate much earlier and was impressed you saw the danger, when you moved Q to e2 (a 'Brilliant' move according to the analysis), Bg2 looks like it traps my queen but Ng4 would have been mate.
I want to give a general tip to newer/less experienced players, and I can't stress how important this is. The Ben Finegold rule:
NEVER play f3 (or f6 as black).
Basically, do not push your f pawn unless you are certain it is safe. In general, this means you should be fully developed; all minor pieces out, castled, preferably rooks connected.
I mention it because Cora played f6 yesterday on move 3 and SD64 has just done it on move 2, both times to protect the e pawn and both leading to quick and sudden checkmates. Well OK, SD64 hasn't technically been mated yet but the game is essentially over, and all because of this f6 move.
If you're not sure why it is so bad, it's simply because it exposes your king to queen checks and if you haven't developed then your king has nowhere to escape.
Sorry tomous. I just don't have the time to play this afternoon and as your ahead I've resigned. No point drawing it out. Blue eyes I'll send you a match notification but you may only get 3-4 moves out of me today. I really want to claw a few points back, this tournament has been a little hard hitting . I thought I'd be one of the better ones and I'm absolutely shite !
GG Dowbocop, it's a shame for you you hadn't read Pancake's post on the F3/6 pawn because moving it lost you the game-had been a very tight match up until that point!

Yeah but I played F6 thinking I was the wrong colour so nerr.

Hang on, did you think you were the other colour for the whole game?!
I thought you meant when you played pawn to c5 to defend the king from your own bishop.
For the vast majority of it, yes. I honestly don't know how I was functioning. The dissonance required to move the black pieces while simultaneously assuming I was white is...astounding.

I think it might have been posted during our first game! Have read it now, thanks.
Good games, I feel like an unaware drunk getting a foot sweep off a bouncer playing against you. I didn't get a notification for your last move and was actually waiting for you, I went back into the app to check the board and was like "Oh you've beaten me!" Great awareness of the game Clive
