Reminds me of the idiot I sit next to who out of the blue the other day, decided to start ranting about cloning and the prospect of someone stealing his consciousness and putting it in a robot. I mean what the strawberry float, of all the things to worry about.

I was just wondering, will there ever be a boy born who can swim faster than a shark?

Fast food giants under fire on climate and water usage.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-47029485

climate today N/E USA/CANADA the coldest temps ever hitting the region media playing down the severity of the polar vortex affecting the whole of the N/H -70C NEVER BEEN SEEN hows that for a warming climate

Can you see people who do heavy manual labour living on nuts and berries? No, this is another middle-class fad.

And after a NO DEAL Brexit, all Meat and animal products can be banned to be replaced by environmentally friendly plastics or wooden products, apart from the tree hugger not wanting a painful dead to befall trees??
Coupled to a total ban on power from Coal, Oil, Gas, Nuclear powered
Electricity to include hydroelectricity to use Coal power to re-fill the water from downstream! !! !!

Boring. BBC up on their global warming soapbox again?
What a surprise.

Show us the list of these people with "with around $6.5 trillion under management". I bet they don't.

I bet they are just relatively minor activist members of a larger group who are probably not rampant global warmers, vegans and militant vegetarians who will also then tell us that cockroaches deserve animal rights too.

Global warming - utter nonsense. the left wing luvvies want to believe the sky is falling down so they can use a lie to control our habits.
Own a car - youre evil
Eat meat - youre evil
own a wood burner - youre evil
Its all about control. since the beeb started pushing the GW lie in 1989 trillions gave been spent on eco projects and not one degree of Global warming has been effected.

"Moreover, if they were faking the whole thing, how come there are no denier scientists who debunk the papers? Why are there no whistleblowers leaking proof (as has always happened)?"

There are, plenty
Watermelons refuse to believe them
Questioning this religion?
Questioning the need for control?
Questioning the elite?
Ignore all but what our betters claim and don't look for contradictions

remember folks there is no observed global warming anywhere the N/H is freezing with record breaking cold the S/H is cool with only one country that is hot,and there in the middle of there summer, you have been told for 40 years your going to cook yet are winters are getting colder and colder every climate model has failed over the last 40 years, the only thing that has increased is taxes and laws

Hands off my meat you tree huggers. Science fact - there has been the same amount of water on the earth for billions of years! Make less humans, then all other concerns will be resolved.

why do the men or women in the know never tell any one about how much co2 is put into the air by natural forces ie volcanos it must run into thousands or millions of tons .someone please imform us mear mortals

These climate terrorists need to be locked up

Not everyone who voted leave was a moron. And not everyone who is clueless about global warming voted leave. But comments sections like this sure do give weight to the idea that there may very well be 17 million idiots in the UK.

I'd say the percentage ratio of idiots amongst the general population is much higher, regardless of which side they voted for at the referendum.

Sadly this is probably true. But, perhaps foolishly, I always imagined there would be a healthy middle ground of "reasonably sensible and cognitively competent" people who would make up a chunk of the population.

These days it feels like there are just loads of idiots everywhere!

I think the idiocy has probably always been there, it's just over the years, the internet has slowly but surely turbocharged things by giving the worst crackpots a platform on which to spread their stupidity.

Yeah I think that is a big factor. It's easier for nonsense to be shared and for the easily swayed to buy into it.

The internet has also just made it much easier to get visibility of the views of a larger number of people I guess. The more people you are exposed to then the more likely you are to come across the idiots and nutters I guess.

I think that's where I had been going wrong for years. I clearly assumed the average person was much more intelligent than they really were!

Quiet transfer deadline day.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47079813

I blame brexit

Deloitte need to get with the programme; it's Brexit. Brexit is the reason for the underspend. Aren't they aware of Project Fear?

I can't understand how the tabloid BBC haven't managed to create a narrative that blames Brexit for the Transfer Window slowdown.

Nothing to do with "Brexit" more to do with the high fees for bang average players and clubs not willing to fork out millions apon millions for players who might not even make the cut at the club.

Just goes to show the effects and uncertainty of Brexit.

Well I’m shocked that this hasn’t been blamed on brexit and we’re not being told we should be absolutely terrified. Can we please do away with the transfer deadline day now please.

Yep this is Brexit

Has to be Brexit

All bad news is Brexit

Peter Crouch for PM

Wenger out.

thanks to brexit maybe clubs are buying british? for once?

I'm surprised no-one hasn't blamed the reduction on Brexit yet.

Theresa May to meet Leo Varadkar for Brexit talks

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-47161550

Hold your nerve Theresa

The panic has set in

49 days to our INDEPENDENCE DAY

(another day for you and me in paradise)

Both Ireland and the UK don't want and won't have a hard border. How about put that on a piece of paper both sign it and move on?

a High tech border is all that's needed, with a few random stop and searches now and then. Jobs a good'un.

Can we just have the Brexit we voted for please. Not May's withdrawal agreement that costs us £39 billion to stay in the EU and it's even a deal. Not Corbyn's that the EU loves, which tells you everything you need to know. Just Leave WTO.

I do hope he smirks so May can wipe it off his face ... Ireland uses the UK for its own economic benefit ... it has no interest in what the UK wants or even respects how the UK tolerate Irelands exploitation of EU membership to use us as a cheap bridge to the rest of the EU ... UK wants trade but is fed up with those that take more than they give ... smirk on Varadkar you are just sh*tting a brick

Just leave

No deal

The Irish border problem is nothing to do with the uk. Its between the eu and Southern Ireland. Yes the eu will instruct the south to erect a border but if anyone really thinks southern Ireland will do so they are bonkers. A hard border moves the south further away from the United Ireland they want.

So can we please leave with no deal.

#democracy

The Irish man says to the English woman, '' we want to have our cake and eat it please''

English woman replies,' 'I'm sorry dear, but the majority of the British don't care what you want' '

I'm doing my bit to reduce pressure on the Irish border by not buying Irish goods and services.

No trade = No hard border

Problem solved

EU CORE VALUES
Ignore Dutch referendum
Greece ditto
Luxembourg Tax optimization
Parisian bloody police terror
French colonial tax in the 21st century
Meps not having to declare expenses
Yeah lets get a deal with this lot, are you kidding me.

Remember your lines Leo ! Dont let down your big bosses ! Be a good little Irish PM and do exactly as your told by Junky and Tusky now ! You dont want your euro gifts stopped do you !

You can see that Varadkar can't take things serious the way he was joking about with Tusk over his comments that basically helps the Leave side no end. Hard Border brought to you by the EU and Leo and their blackmail tactics. No Deal is the best option to make them sit up and properly negotiate a way forward instead of their punish UK for daring to leave attitude

with the EU stirring discontent in the UK and winding up our direct neighbours TM should ignore Juncker, Tusk and the other one and go direct to nation heads of state and talk to them about what is best for their trade with the UK and make unilateral agreements with all of them

targeted sweeteners should get the ball rolling. italy, poland .. well up for it

The EU cohesion is not that strong

Verhofstadt another of the UK haters, the UK should withdraw our troops, airforce and Naval forces from Europe, from Poland, lithuania,Ukraine, Germany and we need to reinforce the garrison on Gibraltar, fly in our troops, aircraft and establish a greater naval presence. let Europe understand they will pay a price for such hostility, we will no longer fight for them, we will stand by our true allies

Veradkar will have a ear piece wired to the EU so he knows what to say

Global insect decline may see 'plague of pests'

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-47198576

But luckily humans are rapidly stopping having kids. Fertility rates have halved in just forty years.
To global population is expected to peak at 9.2 billion in 2065, then fall dramatically.
So stop the preachy puritanism BBC.

The wierd beard millennials use this garbage to support their selfish wsh not to be parents.

Just more fear mongering horse dodo. These idiots just want your money. Anytime someone tries to tell you, you are in danger... they are scamming you and trying to swindle you!
These kind of crooks should be in prison!

The standard of science currently emanating from western universities is just pathetic. It's full of coulds, mights, maybes and possiblys. That's not science, It's junk and we are paying for it.

Again the management-dictated daily drumbeat of climate dystopia.
Golly gosh how frightfully frightening!
All money and power to the hard left!

I spoke to a butterfly yesterday who told me he wanted to remain in the EU.

He wanted to see if he could fly in between EU countries with a blue passport. I said no.

But at least he can eat a straight banana, I suppose beeb.

Decline? Come to Madeira, Portugal, there are more insects every year, even in winter. Insects are very dangerous. Probably the most dangerous animals after humans. The have the potential to carry serious diseases and infect a lot of people. It's silly to say they are in decline when I live in a place where I witness exactly the opposite.

Netflix and the BBC :-) one beautiful propaganda alliance ...... remeber star wars..... " Luke use the force " ....... ( luke use nature and the weather to create a new world order in the digital age .)

I'm eating more meat, wheat is Murder.
Vegans and vegetarians need to understand that eating plants impacts the environment as much or more than eating meat.

The constant barrage of global warming and everything that an is doing is going to finish off the planet. We are told to stop eating meet and move to veg but growing veg and crops kills off insects. Why don't we all kill ourselves and save the planet, but without humans what is the point of the planet. We may as well carry on and take the consequences. Stop nagging us enough is enough.

Ordinarily an entomologist would struggle for funding, but if he or she soups up the drama of extinction and throws in a nod to the myth of Anthropogenic Global Warming ...... bingo!
These reports are an Agenda 21 racket. Lapped up by virtue-signalling and self-hating humans.

Yes well if Brussels hadn’t banned fly killers like Vapona the house fly might be under control. I don’t know what is more annoying a house fly or a remainer! Perhaps we could revoke that piece of health and safety nonsense

One thing that I wonder about with these reports etc. How can we be so sure? Really, so just heard on the news that butterflies in farmed land is down.... What if the butterflies have just went somewhere else? Maybe they prefer in farmed land with no pesticides etc? Just pointing out that we can't monitor everywhere can we? Not disagreeing with the findings but always wondered that lol

Previously I would have wondered how people can have such myopic outlooks on things like this. Now the President of the USA suffers from the same idiocy, it can't be surprising that morons like this are confident enough to actually broadcast their stupidity to the world.
