Any artificial super intelligence would take one look at us and just pretend to be dumb rather than making any effort to sort us out.

Or it'd just kill us.

I do sometimes think if all human life was extinguished in one go, it wouldn't be such a bad thing. But that's another discussion for another thread...

Nasa's Voyager 2 probe 'leaves the Solar System'

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-46502820

And?

If you clowns had any idea as to the size of the universe you would appreciate just what a pathetically small achievement this is.

We should be investing properly in intergalactic space travel which would be perfectly possible if we encouraged the clever people to think more rather than worrying about what gender or colour they were.

It appears to be easier to get a probe out of our solar system than it for the EU-SSR Quisling Appeaser Theresa May/Maybenotatall to get the Dis-UK out of the corrupt EU-SSR.

Liberal student: "The Earth is 4.5 billion years old"

Godly Creationist: "But you weren't there"

God fearing conservative DESTROYS dumb atheist kid with FACTS and LOGIC!

Another extreme waste of money- wages all those scientists for 41+years not to mention all the other bits!

"In the begining, God created the heavens and the earth" - how can any thinking person deny that there is intelligent design in all that we see. What an amazing God to place all the planets in absolute balance. "What is man that you are mindful of him". It is this very God who came to this sin ridden world and died to rescue those who would believe through sacrificing himself as a sin offering.

Still working after 41 years in outer space. Yet more proof that there are things outside this earth definitely exist although I'm sure obtuse atheists like Dawkins will conveniently ignore that!

It's all a con anyway. We already have alien craft, from Roswell and other incidents. We've been back engineering alien tech for decades. Fibre optics, Velcro, night vision and microchips are all from back engineered alien tech.

Google Phil Corso (The Day After Roswell) and Bob Lazar. Educate yourselves, you brainwashed, naive, simpletons. Anyone who disagrees with the above is an imbecile.

Meanwhile, here on earth, millions of people are dying from lack of water/food /medical care etc. When is the human race going to get its priorities in order. Shouldn't we be looking after real people instead of this ridiculous, useless waste of time, money and resources?

Nice titbit of a story but ultimately an opportunity for optimists to devise fanciful tales of space discovery and aliens. I'm afraid it's just another piece of space junk.

This must be true. The illustrations prove it!!

Moving at 34,000mph and 11 billion miles from Earth and the 20W transmitter signal can still find its way back to Earth. Really????

Utter nonsense and lies.

How on earth can they keep track of it? Or measure its speed? From such a distance?

Space missions are nonsense and unbelievable after a certain distance...

Just like Iraq and wmd....

Yep

Miles per hour and distance in miles please.Put Kph in brackets.

1977.. Ah those were the days when we had recently joined the "Common Market". Looking forward to cheaper foods at the supermarket and summer holidays "sur le continent". Whatever happened to that? Now what have we got? Well we still have Voyagers 1 & 2 firing our imaginations wondering whats out there. Wish we could have strapped the EU with its payload on a one way trip .

Foolish Earthlings! Leaving your tiny solar system is all very well but what about the Irish backstop?

So that's how we got velcro! I knew it couldn't have been invented by humans, it's just too complex. Thank you for opening my eyes.

This strawberry floating gooseberry fool on facebook.

Exactly how sould a proples vote help matters?
The referrndum was won by the leavers and you should accept that but of course uou don't. This makes you anti-democratic bad losers.
But suppose remain won a second vote do you think leave would go away? Do you not consider the damage a second vote would cause to our credibility as a nation?
As a Brexiter I find it amazing that British people want stat in a massively undemocratic, wholly corrupt and incompetently led organisation. It genuinely baffles me. I can understand 2nd!+ gdnetstion migrants to this country voting that way because it means open borders and abundent benefits. But the indiginous people to vote to stay is an absolute betrayal of their heritage and massively short-sighted.

A no deal is fine. Numerous neutral financial gurus have said so. It is true ghag there will be teething troubles but any losses will be made up as Europd continues decline and the world gets richer.
By the way all predictions of doom which many naive remainers listen to (in spite of them being consistently wrong) nevet include effects of new trade deals and always give worse case scenarios and NEVER quote a time scale. They treat remainers as fools and many remainers lap it up.

This guy responded to my question as to what the strawberry float is he talking about regarding indigenous people betraying their country:

James Caudwell well ehatever I am on about I understand the power of my argument is not increased by swearing.
Democracy is about having a vote to reach a decision and gor the losers yo respect that decision and not to undermine resulting action. If you do that by, dor example whinging about having another vote, you are operating directly against democratic principles. You are being undemocratic...
To suggest that having another vote enhances democracy is absurd.
The 2016 referendum was billed as the final say on this matter. It should be accepted as this. A good deal would have been possible had everyone supported the PM but she was undermined at every turn by indivuduals who are in effect traitors; if one looks at the strict definition.
My other points are as sound and rational and true.

You may disagree and seek solace by referring to the 'group speak) of the so called 'experts' (most of whom are in receipt of EU funding) and so good luck with that.
If there is a second vote I believe the effect will be catastrophic for parliamentary credibility and the rule of law.

All these points and not one swear word. Wow I must be of an older and WISER generation. You should listen. You might learn something.
Best wishes
G

May cancels Dublin visit.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-46530592

The PM should take a leaf from Mr Putin on Crimea to solve the backstop issue.

Just send the army to 'liberate' the Irish from themselves again and the border issue is solved.

With an extra 4 million taxpayers and a lot of space for housing, I see an opportunity!

It doesn't matter if she goes to Eire or not - it is the Irish who need to REALLY prepare for no deal and the wallop it will give them and which they will have earned. Why - because if she is defeated it will not go through Parliament and if she loses it still will not go through Parliament.
May in place - still no deal so NO DEAL IT IS THEN.

IREXIT or a hard border

Given the above stark choice the vast majority will vote IREXIT

A border poll is a forgone conclusion,NI will vote to stay in the UK

£currency union is an option

Varadkar&EU are attempting to take control of NI

The current deal on offer will further that aim if implemented

GFA can and must be renegotiated as it was negotiated at gunpoint not the ballot box

Remember the Irish helping the Nazis in WW2?

We could all go on, couldn't we?

Please could you stop obliterating our UK flag with the EU flag in the opening photo. Are you tring to annoy us? It is very insensitive of you. Thank you.

The Irish&British economies are interlinked

It is in everyone's interest that trade continues

As said earlier being part of the EU helps us(yous) stand up to the bully English

That is the primary motivating factor for the poEU stance of the majority of Irish people

Ireland is an island so is Britain

We British want control of our island

The solution is IREXIT or a hard border

Keep an eye on the Irish press!

It won't be long before the Irish government start recruiting Custom Officers to man the hard border that the EU will force them to do.

I don't mind as I've two passports and nothing to hide.

How dare I?you ask

Because terrorists don't know who I am&are unable to kneecap me on HYS

The GFA can be renegotiated&rewritten, that's a fact

It is a hotchpotch of coupled together agreements designed to ensure PEACE as it's primary function

It is not designed to getting Irish butter to market

We need an agreement which is

People are more relaxed now start again

DUP ministers are desperately trying to book flights from their constituencies in the Maldives and Sri Lanka to make it back in time for the vote :-)

The Tories have completely lost it now. They are getting rid of a vicars daughter and keeping the Ulster UDA Branch.....

In what universe is that right?

Waste of time and effort anyway. They will continue to go along with their EU masters anyway
