I mean, what he did isn't THAT bad in the grand scheme of things but stealing money (even if was a fraction) that was meant to go to charity is incredibly shitty.

Hot Ones is basically like a late night chat show

I could go on.

Point being if you're not watching YouTube videos because you think everyone on there is KSI, you're missing out.

There's definitely a distinction to be made between people who make good videos and who happen to put them on YouTube, versus people who are "YouTubers" who just churn out monetisable content to whatever insane schedule they think the algorithm dictates.

There's nothing more disappointing on YouTube that when you hear someone with a growing channel who makes videos you like say something along the lines of they're finally able to quit their job and do YouTube full time, because you just know it means their video quality is going to take a nosedive and they'll have to cram in a load more monetisable crap so they can make whatever they need on a monthly basis. I mean, I'm happy that they get to quit whatever other rubbish job they had and clearly want to leave, but from a purely selfish pov, it's often a shame to watch.

I've gone from being one of his fans and genuinely thinking he was a good guy who put charity at the heart of what he did to thinking he is a banana split . Huge respect to the two investigators, a lot of hard work and so much research to find the truth. Unsubscribed to the completionist and subbed to the two investigators channels.

Karl Jobst is the boss. Consistent stream of quality output, doesn't do videos for the sake of it either.

Yeah I've followed Karl for a few years, does some very good speed running content alongside his side hustle of calling out banana splits like Billy Mitchell

While the outcome of this is positive, it's mainly about clicks and engagement. I don't think we should be putting those two on some kind of pedestal. It's one of the main lessons from this entire scenario.

Of course it is, that's entirely how YouTube works, but calling out gooseberry fool like this is one of the more ethical means of driving clicks and engagement
