Twelve hours later and they're still available! Could this be a record for this gen?

...and they're still available :o . They look to be selling pretty well, as the console has risen to fifth on Amazon's gaming bestseller list, but they must have had a big allocation of consoles. I don't recall the console being in stock and available for this length of time before.

Quite surprised to see that, does this mean the console drought is finally over?
I was lucky enough to get my Series X last March, but I can't be strawberry floated with chasing stock over and over.

Guess it's just PS5/PS5 Digital that's left in the brought phase.

Oof, having just moved into a new place here and shelled out on my first 4k TV, capable of 120hz, upgrading my Series S to an X now feels quite tempting. I do really like the console - and Gamepass - and no problems with it before, but wondering if it'll seem less impressive on the new TV tech.

Problem is, due to moving I've probably spent close to £15K kitting it out, sorting out everything, laying down all the cash needed to make it liveable... Can I justify £450 on a console I already own.

More importantly, can I convince the wife that the white Xbox she is used to using as a Netflix machine, has been painted black and made quite a bit thicker at no extra cost...

And still . This is really testing me, but I just don't have the time, it would be mental... Or would it...?

I"m pretty sure the console has been continuously available on Amazon for nearly three straight days now... incredible considering the trouble folk have had trying to get one in the past. I'm imagining that the costs (console, games, controllers) involved in moving to new gen may be deterring some folk from jumping aboard in the current climate.

Oof. Way too slow unfortunately.

If you are on the look out, I would join some Telegram stock checker groups. You need to be there in minutes when they do go up!

I'm seeing the Xbox Series S and X available at most online retailers these days, either outright or via All Access.

Personally I'm holding out for the X revision before picking one up.

Wonder if Sony are having greater production difficulties?

So I did end up making a completely superfluous purchase of one of these and going to set it up today after work. Curse you Jawa! Hopefully, with the PS5, this and my new spangly TV, I'm futures proofed for this generation. Just hope we don't get the 1.5 upgrade consoles anytime soon now...

(We can just skip over the fact that I already own a Series S and I'll just celebrate being able to play stuff like DQXI on Gamepass in 60fps as opposed to 30 now)

Game website is currently taking pre-orders for PS5 consoles with a listed date of tomorrow.

Includes standalone console rather than just bundles.
Both Disc and Digital versions.

I just had a look and they still appear to be in stock. This must be some kind of record!
