That was the initial plan, but personal things came up which meant that it was more optimal for me to come here.

It's fascinating, actually. Strange, funny, infuriating, but very interesting too. Don't knock it 'til you try it.

I have experienced it a bit, but not for a long period of time. I'm not really knocking it, either. It's just not on top of my list of countries I'd like to live in.

Great missed the Obama ep because even though the tele guide said Daily Show, Comedy Central aired Fraiser 30 mins early :| :|

Here's the Obama interview:

Not sure where to find the rest of the episode though.

The latest episode, airing tonight in the UK, is pretty great. The Strategist is amazing, Jon Ronson's pretty great too.

All eps next week are available in HDizzle thanks to their being broadcast on the main (as it were) Comedy Central channel.

I feel so sorry for those people in Ohio and so glad we don't have that sort of political advertising here (yet).

It's non-stop. At least 80% of all the ads on TV right now are political - "Elect Obama!", "You must vote Romney!", "Re-elect senate incumbent Sherrod Brown today," "Vote for senate hopeful Josh Mandel", "Hey guise, Ohio Supreme Court judge Robert Cupp is totally worth your vote," "COMISNER GORDN PLS," or attack variations on that. Every.single.ad.break. You soon learn to tune it out. Failing that, the mute button on the remote is quite handy.

Daily Show and Colbert had live shows yeah. Unlike last time though Jon Stewart and Colbert stuck to their own shows, they didn't host together.

Awesome, caught some of it. Loved the John Oliver segment.

Very good episode on November 14th (15th in the UK). Coverage of the Jimmy Savile scandal, and a wonderful interview with Jon Meacham on his new book about Thomas Jefferson.

The Fox annual War on Christmas crusade is comical as they try and take it so seriously. If a single department store has been asked to take down a single tree you can bet Fox will try and turn it into a debate about how atheists are ruining America.
If I suddenly won a few billion I might buy Fox news and force them to not celebrate Christmas just to see them go insane.
If you ever want to see just how crap Fox is try watching The Five where four conservatives blather on about how terrible liberalism is while the lone liberal panellist tries not to lose his temper.
Bob Beckal must have the patience of a saint.
