I feel like I've had a good long break (12 consecutive days!) and I am somewhat looking forward to my new position, but I still strawberry floating hate the place and Christmas has been brilliant. Why does every good thing have to come to an end?

No. My last day of work was 21st December and I've been ill since the 23rd. I was looking forward to some respite for weeks only to feel utterly unrested and now being forced back to work. What to do, what to do....

I was until Saturday I fell caught my eye and have a corneal abrasion across nearly half my eye

I'm in agony and working with VDU's is something the hospital have advised against for a week.

Sounds like you need to learn to manage your time better to ensure you have your legally required zelda breaks.
