The best excuse I ever heard was a manager I had 10 years or so ago. He phoned in sick as he had had a nosebleed the night before.

I should point out I had it out in an Sunday emergency after pain became overwelming and as decay had reached core.

My manger had one out a few weeks later and was in work the next day. And then he suffered 'dry hole' (don't giggle. Don't clot in the tooth hole came off leaving bone exposed, very painful) and was in work apart from the afternoon for a follow up appointment for dry hole.

Your boss is a moron.

Today's an absolute write off. Just want it to be the weekend so I don’t have to feel more guilty about sitting around doing almost strawberry float all.

I'm busy as strawberry float today. Spoke to a colleague about the amount of work he has, and I seem to be way ahead of him. So that's okay, I guess.

Yeah but he is doing it properly and not rushing.

Hey now, I'm skipping loads of vital steps in the name of efficiency.

Had my first performance review today and been told I'm doing well and above average for this stage so at least that's some good news. The only room for improvement i had was rushing too much actually, think I've just been too eager to please and made a couple of stupid minor mistakes in the process.

One of our new nurses has been with us for a month and called in sick three times. One headache, one cold and a daughter with a rash who needs to see the GP. I don't think she likes it here which is good because she'll be getting bumped pronto at this rate.

Please don't let this end!

A wise man once said that existence is like a dancer forever moving to an eternal song, and for this dancer, as it is for all dancers, balance is the key.

They all think the new guy is a bellend ;)

I'm not entirely sure what that means but I had another great day today, so I'll take it!

This is the fun part about working remotely and your bosses are doing no work or completely strawberry floated everything up. You're left wondering what the strawberry float to do.

You're preaching to the wrong choir. ;-)

My point still stands 0600 - 1800 is better than 0800 - 2000
