Edit: After catching up with the thread.... I now know one wolf and one seer :slol:

Denster needs to actually act like an adult in response to his end-game. it is a game. That is all.

You can all thank me for contribution. Because of the time difference, the game pretty started on a Monday morning when I was going to work. Got home after a really busy day, and managed to read half or so of the 250-odd pages, and then was promptly killed before I could say anything.

I wasn't picked because of that inactivity was I? As it was only about 12 hours of actually being awake over here.

Did Denny know he was a "lover" in his role PM?

If so then he can't really moan. It's a crappy role but it's strawberry floated over lots of people before.

If not then I can see why he is angry.

Ob Blob definitely knew, so I assume Denny did too.

I had loads of fun when I was a lover a few games back, I remember trying to make every thing I posted had the word love in it, and it still went over Zellerys head, and he got us both killed

The case against Errkal was weak as gooseberry fool and I wasn't having it.

I also rigged the vote for Errkal to survive day two.

Always liked helping the underdog. Probably the strawberry floating alpha.

Also I did have garlic, so strawberry float you

I am glad I voted for you to hang, saving Errkal.... the case against Turboman was non existent...

Still I have played a load of these and I always end up getting hung, I think this is the first time I have ever been targeted by a wolf, huzzah

This is the benefit to the lover role, if both play it sensibly you gain an ally for free. Just requires both players not to be super dense like Zellery was.

Denster melting down because of this though, he should try being killed on Day 1 for not spamming the thread.

No need for Denny to throw his toys out of the pram having a go at Drumstick. These games are a fuckton of work.

Pretty much. Your posts just fit the classic template of wolf/vamp behaviour in my book: asking questions that had already been discussed, short posts that don't say anything new, sad reactions to human deaths but no actual theorising or comment, and of course posting in and around the times of night-kills. "There's something way too of about last night's lynch vote" just didn't sit right with me considering everyone was already thinking it. It looked like you were desperately trying to be right on the consensus without being notable. I figured as I'd not be wasting a kill, as I'd get one every two nights, and I'd need everyone dead eventually anyway if I were to win, so I went with my gut and it worked out.

I appreciate the game is difficult to run and thought Drummy was doing a decent job. I had every right to be annoyed though and think Drummy should at least have PMed me first.
Mainly I was annoyed because I'd just got in touch with Albear and was in with a shout of being more involved in the game. The fact that I was already dead at that point is quite galling. The role affords no real advantage to counter its enormous disadvantage.

Should the Lovers role include a thing where if one of the two is attacked the other lover runs to his defence and saves them from attack?

The Lovers role is designed to hamstring a player. It's the one non-minority role that nobody wants. It can have it's advantages but its downside is much greater.

Lewis, that's an idea for a variant of it. Perhaps if it is included in a future game the role could come with that mechanic. I think if I included it again I would definitely tell the Lovers who their partner is.

Denny, come on man. I had a momentary lapse in concentration. I'm sorry if you're upset at how I handled it and you are right that I probably should have done you the courtesy of letting you know before announcing it.

Peace?

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Cheers. Of course, I followed up an impressive night with an extremely gooseberry fool day and ended up dead.

Hes not wrong. Protection circles ruin the point of these games and theres literally no reason for the amulet to exist. Youve removed mayor protection, but made it easier for people to be protected as theres no vote for it.

They basically male the game pointless to be involved in as a basic human.
