Think you specifically have to matchmake to do it with another player but there's no other reason for someone to be there so maybe you did it accidentally.

Started this last night with a couple of friends. It's fun enough but dumps so much info its hard to pay attention and not just ignore it (a theme in the last couple of games I've tried). The plot seems kind of nonsense and basically "retake Washington DC" so whatever (I didn't realise the second game went all-in on being apocalyptic either, kind of funny that it starts off talking about new societies surviving despite it not even being a year since the collapse). Combat is fun if so far too easy and loot management is an ever present pain. I've just been deconstructing everything that isn't best but apparently have no money so need to stop doing that and start selling things instead? I haven't found or seen for sale any sniper-like rifles which I remember getting almost immediately in the first game and preferring so that's annoying that I'm still using assault rifles and shotguns after a few hours. The city not being covered in snow I think makes it feel more generic than the first game too. As mentioned above the decline in indoor areas to explore seems notable too.

Pure QOL things like increasing resource and loot inventory limits being locked behind perk upgrades is... a weird design decision. Otherwise I am hoping it's easy enough to unlock all of the skills because while I chose and like the basic ping to start off, I then chose the hive for the booster and am not really feeling it.

Don't bother buying anything during the story missions as you'll always find better stuff in loot drops and caches. The resources you get from deconstruction are far more valuable in the long run and any stuff you have or buy now will quickly become obsolete.

Is there much point to earning money then? I'm surprised you don't get money for completing missions.

Money is mainly for rerolling ststs on equipment you like in endgame.

As for the game being a bit easy it is in the story at first but you can play on harder settings for better rewards and the strikes are tough as nails.

I barely played this after playing a lot of the first one, so might reinstall to play through the "story" and call it a day.

Pretty tempted to buy this again at £4...
Maybe start a new character and solo-run it.

Or... Maybe Division 1 Instead.
That snowy city was much better than sweaty Washington.

I completely ignored the info dumps and so far the only way it's affected me is crafting and schematics which I've yet to encounter and am still not really sure what it's all about.

Just did the Lincoln Memorial mission, now I want to watch Lincoln.

Need to see what the meta is on this at the moment and get back in to it. Haven't played in almost a year.

I haven't played for ages either.

Our gear is going to be laughably terrible and outdated. I dread to think how much grinding I'd need to do to get decent gear now.
I'd love to get back into it but they made healing skills a bit rubbish and I only like playing as healers.

Dynamic resolution is in play on all systems, meaning that the 60fps action is delivered with a 900p to 1080p resolution range on Xbox Series S, rising to a 1800p-2160p range on Series X. Meanwhile, PlayStation 5 operates with a much wider range - 1080p is seemingly the lowest recorded resolution, rising to a maximum of 1890p.

All told, the 60fps experience is excellent and in common with similar next-gen updates, it's hard to go back. It's a simple way to tap into the horsepower of the new machines, but it's also the most potent upgrade Ubisoft could have delivered. If you've upgraded to the new consoles and you own the game, we highly recommend checking it out - but let's hope that Ubisoft can look into the PS5 issues and restore the full range of effects to the game.

It's some sort of glitch on PS5 as the PS4 Pro has feature parity with SX/S (at 30fps).

The game is fun with a decent group.
It's just that I'm not bothered about grinding any more for the perfect loadout which is a huge part of the endgame.
All the skills I enjoy also seem to be the weakest in the game which is a tad annoying.

I like to use the turret and then healing skills but healing isn't all that fantastic and they keep nerfing the turret into the ground because people find it frustrating in PVP which I never play.

The PVP zone can go and royally strawberry float itself with a sharp stick as I'd rather spend an hour nailing my scrotum to a chair.

Played a bunch this last week due to the RE event but the rate at which they give out the proper Resi cosmetics was glacial. One quest a day to earn either an arm patch or backpack trinket with the actual content coming from lootboxes every 3 levels.

Got the HUNK helmet then gave up

The expansion for this is really cheap on Xbone atm in case anyone is interested. I’ve ploughed loads of hours into the base game so mighty tempted.

The story can be done solo.
You'll just struggle with endgame content and raids will be pretty much impossible.
