Still on WT3 just now, but made great Gear Score progress with Crisp last night. Plan to get over the 400 mark tonight and move up to WT4. Then, hopefully we'll be able to get Tidal Basin done and up to WT5 in time for us all getting together for the Raid on Sunday.

Yeah I'm looking forward to it.

I'm a sucker for "New" content so Tidal Basin and the Raid are what is pushing me forward for now.

I've got the year 1 pass as well so I've got the "Confidential" missions to do, but I need other people with the pass to do them with as you can't piggy-back non-pass owners into it.

But Tidal Basin and the raid are the target for me just now. I'm happy to get up to spec for them and then take a good break from the game. Grinding for gear score isn't something I particularly enjoy, but doing it with Crisp last night was good as I jumped from 348 to around 392 in 40 minutes. Hoping to make similar progress tonight and over the weekend.

To be totally clear RE this Sunday I am happy GRcaders take part but there already a few confirmed and waiting on a few more to get back to us, we have played with each other from the start and there have been 8 invites sent out so I am not sure how many places we are going to have, we have four confirmed at the moment.

I am pretty sure the absolute maximum we will get is 7 as I think one guy gave up at WT2, not seen him on for awhile think he went back to Rainbow. And I really cannot see one of them turning up at all and I think another one will be at work, so there will be at least two places going I would of thought. Would be good if people could let me know if they are interested as will have to organise 8 people being in the same place at the same time.

The min GS is 490 btw so there's a fair bit of work still to do!

I'm wavering on buying the pass as I've enjoyed the game so far.

Don't focus too much on GS number - look for best talents (they've rejigged a lot)

A lot of endgame is farming for similar level loot drops with decent (again they've changed alot at mo so can't tell you best)

5 Hours and no one seems to have completed the raid (at least on stream). There seems to be some streamers who have a hard time working with others

A lot of people are saying the Raid is too hard and most of them couldn’t beat the first boss.

Good one Ubisoft. :fp:

It reminds me of Destiny’s Raid.

I did wonder why they were making a big thing out of making a permanent plaque of the first team to beat the raid.
Makes sense now.

It seems that the stream I was watching were the first to finish. They did it about 30 minutes after I went to bed. No one has as of right now has completed it on either console.

It seems like the raid is punishingly hard with nobody being able to complete it on console yet.
Even a guy who I occasionally watch news articles about the game by (Epic Slarers) can't get past the first of 4 bosses and I assume his build is monstrous compared to any of ours.

If the streamers who put in ridiculous amounts time getting perfect characters and who have way more skill at gaming than me are struggling like strawberry float I'm not sure I'm going to get much fun out of this raid at all. I'll give it a go if you need me and will help get up gear score and get gear on other activities but I'm honestly wary about this just completely crushing my spirit for this game.

It seems like all the worst aspects of the first game where they listened to the ultra hardcore who said they wanted content only the absolute maximum no lifers could complete and decided that's the way they wanted to go with this raid.

It's an interesting question about how hard they should have made this raid.
As it is I think it's going to put a whole lot of people off even trying (myself included) when they see people who actually make a living playing the game struggling. I know that I'm unlikely to have characters with builds as good as those players simply because I don't have the time or enjoy farming for items to maximise my character like they do so if they're struggling even with characters who can pump out 2.2m dps I'm unlikely to be a help with a character who can barely do a quarter of that at best.

I don't mind a stage being tough as I did the raids on Destiny and some of those were quite hard and we failed often but it wasn't so hard that victory seemed pretty much impossible as it does with this raid.

I know I could get hit with the "Get gud" claim but I'm not a pro player and never will be so playing content designed only for pro players and people with ultra min/maxed characters doesn't appeal to me any more than being thrown into a Premier League match and expected to play at that level does.

So, do you guys think having a raid hardly anyone can get past even the first boss is a good idea or am I just a crybaby who should just get back to farming for items? I play games for fun and this doesn't seem like all that much fun to me being dominated for hours by enemies who constantly kick my arse.
