Yeah the hardliners either way were never going to be swayed by this regardless of the outcome, the key question is what it does to people in the middle ground - no doubt some will see this as "Trump is proved innocent" but plenty will also be pushed the other way and their own personal threshold of "how much smoke does their need to be for me to believe he's the bad guy" will have been reached.

The supporters just don't care or they'll believe the lies the liars tell them.

That's the main problem. There no point trying to win the votes from those people as no amount of information will get through as they're completely deaf to it. They have completely bought into the republican viewpoint and see any softening on that as socialist and thus a step toward ruin.
They will honestly fight against such evils as mandating for European levels of holiday as it'll obviously cause every company to go bankrupt instantly even though somehow European companies survive (most likely by being handed US tax payer money as the US somehow pays for everything) or maybe maternity leave as people should just get another job so they can afford to hire a nanny.
The best the Dems can hope for are the swing voters.

Trump has got away with plenty of stuff over his life. And most politicians in America get away with a lot.

That doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have been impeached though. He absolutely deserved it.

If his fans are willing to overlook Trump being a massive sexual deviant who storms into the changing rooms of models at Miss World and says he grabs ladies by the pussy and who's a blatant racist I doubt they care about anything he does.

The odd thing is though that if a normal person did the same thing they'd be strawberry floating fuming and demanding they be put in prison for years but not our Trumpy boy he's some kind of special person who heroically managed a rags to riches tale of becoming successful with just a small multi-million dollar free money handout from daddy.
