I think they're running out of mount ideas.

...but this new one is ace :toot: .

It even leaves a ghostly, sparkly particle trail as it runs! The Dro-m’Athra Senche mount is only available from today through to Monday... and costs 4,000 Crowns. That's about twenty quid :o  ... :o  .

The rolls of thunder and the coming of rain sound amazing; especially wearing a pair of cans. Terrific!

Okay so I have had my eye on this for a while and it's the last day of the sale price. People here need to sell the game to me - if I really liked Skyrim and Oblivion (was halfway through the former but had to leave it behind in the UK).

Is this good for single players, or is it a sort of watered down version of those other games? If it's still pretty engrossing solo I'll buy it, though I doubt I can convince my friends follow suit, and time differences mean I can't play with you lot.

It is a watered down version of the other games, it's really nothing like them. Having said all of that, it is beautiful looking and although simplified, it can be quite engrossing to play.

The only thing in its favour against the 'proper' games is its massive PVP game, I've seen 50+ fighting against each other, coupled with the dark anchors that drop where everyone runs to fight things from oblovion, it can be spectacular. I personally love it, but I love MMO's, to be fair it has a terrible start, I find after the first 10hrs it opens up.

It has deep enough mechanics and while walking about, it's cool to see others going about three business sometimes stopping to help and vice versa. In terms of combat it's all cool down icons and stuff. The quests are nowhere near as engrossing as the main series but if you like the lore, you'll enjoy some of them.

I am hugely enjoying ESO but I'd suggest caution in thinking it is, say, Skyrim Online. I've not played very much of the single-player ES games but ESO doesn't offer the same kind of detailed, complex quest lines as they do. The game is designed as MMORPG and the focus is on interaction. The game can be tackled as a single player - and the earlier skill levels are focused around that - but as you progress you will find advantages in teamwork. I started off by doing my own thing but I was struggling with some of the missions; after joining up with a couple of players the enemies became far more beatable.

The gameworld is huge and expansions are now launched every three months or so. I think it's ace but you have to be prepared to put time into it and think of it as a game based upon the world of ES rather than being the next entry in the ES series.

Oh, and don't worry about playing with other GRcadians - due to the race / level setup it'd be unlikely that you'd meet at an appropriate time to take on a mission, but it's easy to hook-up with other random players as you tackle quests.

Oh, and a last point - there is currently no text chat on console versions. There are rumours that it'll appear, but at the moment it's voice chat only. This doesn't really matter but it would be nice to have it. Text chat is available in FF XIV - and cross PC/PS4 too - so technically it's possible.

I'd quite like to play FFXIV - indeed, maybe it's a better game that ESO - however the sub fee for that puts me off. I'll end up letting it run and not get my money's worth. I also don't like the idea of paying a sub fee in general. I have enough games to play as it is and don't fancy paying £7 just to keep continuing one.

It's the base engine that makes it so different, I don't know what the name of the engine bethesda generally use but oblivion, skyrim and the fallout games all look and feel the same, this games engine is nothing like those so in turn it plays differently.

I made some short video's, first one is 10mins with a mate of mine having some co-op:

Second one is only 3mins and its the PVP area:

(second one is quite washed out as used youtubes colour correction. :fp:

Both should give you a feel/look at how they play.

The Elder Scrolls Online has been going strong for some time now, and it got some of its own share of screen time celebrating 7 million players strong during Bethesda's E3 showcase.

On June 23rd, the game will be launching in Japan and expanding internationally, so it'll be adding several more players to its leagues. But that's not all it's getting. It's also receiving a very special DLC release this coming Tuesday.

The Dark Brotherhood DLC will be releasing this Tuesday for both Xbox One and PS4, where you'll be traveling to the Gold Coast of Cyrodiil.

Worried you're not leveled sufficiently to enjoy it with your friends? Bethesda has you covered with One Tamriel, a special change coming to ESO. Players will be automatically leveled to locations so they may explore all locations with no level restrictions. No restrictions on alliances or questing. After you leave the tutorial, you can explore the world freely. As Bethesda notes, this is the first time this has been explored in an MMORPG. It's coming to the game this fall.

There is a little more detail about the One Tamriel update on the ESO website.

I'm intrigued as to how this change could affect the game. I like the sound of being able to freely explore the game world and to be able to team-up with far more players. I'm pretty low-level at the moment (just reached L15 :toot: ) and I am enjoying the journey, so I hope that this development adds to the experience.

To me it comes across like a stealthy server merge; dismantling the barriers of alliance and location they were so keen to build up in the first place to get whoever's left together to do something, anything, together.

The update doesn't mention server merge and, when I play the game on PS4, the gameworld seems to be well-populated and the questing set-ups appear to be busy. Bethesda has shared that the game has had seven million players registered, even before the impending launch in Japan and Asia.

Sure, the One Tamriel update does put a different spin on the game but, from what we know at present, I don't see too much value in thinking the worst. It just seems that the game is being opened up to allow wider paths for travel and exploration, alongside more team-up options.

Update download completed :) . As the France v Albania match seems to be a little dull, it's time to venture into the game :toot: .

Weird fact: the monthly subscription fee for ESO is cheaper on Xbox than on PS. Because (no good) reasons. Of course, it's even cheaper on PC.

The latest update adds the Craft Bag for subscribers. It allows you to store a near infinite volume of crafting items, which is ace as until now inventory management could be a bit of a juggling act.

Enjoy the adventuring, Garth... iT'S TAMRIEL TIME :toot: .

After reading up on Dark Brotherhood expansion I bought it this morning. :fp:

Apparently is the best expansion by a mile.
