I wonder what this announcement will be? "The Next Chapter"... perhaps it is something more than new DLC?

I'm looking forward to checking this out tomorrow!

Sounds like perhaps a major expansion pack of some kind.

Apparently datamining has found the entire island of Vvardenfell within ESO.

It could be, Laga, but I think this is something pretty big. Zenimax are building this up as something special... on the game forum they've suggested that players film their reaction ( ... :fp: ).

We already know that houses are arriving during February, so I can't think what this'll be.

Yeah, there are rumours that will be the reveal... but Zenimax hasn't hyped up their previous DLC expansions like this. I hope it is something cool and not just a minor update!

I must admit, I've been really pleasantly surprised by ESO.

I was looking through the updates notes on the ESO Reddit and it seems like the game has grown a ridiculous amount since launch, so perhaps I was reading a lot of impressions from those earlier versions.

I'm only up to the my faction's second many area, Deshaan, and I'm already about 45 hours in. Like most MMOs, there's always a quest or something to do with a close radius and, while a lot of this could be described as "busywork" (that goes with the genre), the quests are decent and the world's massive. There's so much content. It's all full voiced too, though I admit that by many of the quests are cinematic or particularly engrossing in terms of character. The "proper" Elder Scrolls do questing better, but they are full blown RPGs.

Considering it cost me £8, I've already got my money's worth. Haven't even done anything outside of Stonefalls or Deshaan yet, and I am only about level 25. Haven't even touched the DLC yet, despite subscribing for the first time a few days ago.

Just a shame there's no community here as that closes some content off. The text chat and activity finder is good though.

It made me realise that, as much as I like Destiny, some of it is a little lacking.

Hmmn... the ESO website is down for (planned) maintenance. I wonder if the 19:00 reveal is gonna be something mega?

"I'm excited!" :toot: .

Zenimax are getting a bit up tight over on the ESO forum. Someone setup up a thread on the subject of "ESO free to play" and this has appeared:

Details!
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, will take players back to the legendary island of Vvardenfell, or for those who never played Morrowind, they will be graced with opportunity.

Along with the large new zone, the Morrowind content includes a new player class, over 30 hours of main story content, a new Trial, and a new three-team, 4v4v4 PvP mode.

- Synopsis: Morrowind is in dire peril and it’s up to player heroes to help Vivec, the legendary warrior-poet and Guardian of Vvardenfell, solve the mystery of his mysterious illness, regain his strength – and save the world from ultimate destruction.

- New Players: New players can jump into The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind and start a new character without having to complete any previous ESO content. Since the original ESO game is included with The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, new players will have instant access to hundreds of hours of additional adventures throughout Tamriel.

- Existing Players: ESO players will be able to upgrade and immediately journey to Vvardenfell. Existing players will find level-appropriate content from the moment they step onto the island of Vvardenfell, regardless of level. Existing players can also choose to create a new character and begin anew.

- Returning Players: Jump back in with your existing characters, or with a completely new one. ESO has no required subscription, so just reinstall the game, log in, and start playing again.

- Vvardenfell: The largest zone added to The Elder Scrolls Online since launch and utilizes the same geographic footprint as The Elder Scrolls 3, including all key points of interest from the classic game. Players will embark on a journey through legendary locales in Vvardenfell, 700 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls 3. This includes the docks of Seyda Neen, the volcanic Ashlands, the mushroom-filled forests, and Vivec City, still under construction in this time period.

- New Class – The Warden: Harness nature-based magic to master the powerful new character class. The Warden is the first new class since launch and the player will have the freedom to select from a number of abilities that enable a variety of play styles. The Warden also introduces a new combat ally – the War Bear – a ferocious fighter will stay by the Warden’s side through the most intense battles.

- New PvP Mode – Battlegrounds: Intense 4v4v4 battles in arena-like environments. Players take the battle to the Ashlands to claim their place among the fiercest and most accomplished combat veterans in Tamriel.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will be released globally on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 6 – just in time for the Morrowind’s 15th anniversary on Xbox.

Morrowind content would be enough to drag me into this game. I absolutely adored TES:Morrowind primarily because of the variety in the locations and the world building.

Yeah Morrowind content has certainly got my attention, will dabble a bit over the next few weekends, see how I get on with it.

If anyone wants to play in a group, add me on PSN.

There's quite a lot of group content in this I am find hard to do (the wild encounters and a few group dungeons). The Activity Finder and Text Chat helps a little, but would quite like to play with a few people on here.

The new "Homestead" (housing) feature will arrive for the console versions on Tuesday! It looks pretty neat and I am excited about trying it out. It launched on PC earlier this month and the reception seeems to be generally positive. There have been some questions about functionality (I think this is something mainly for show rather than, say, stat improvements) and apparently it is time-consuming to build furniture rather than buying it straight from the Store, but it certainly looks attractive and the furniture layout mechanics seem to be good.

The housing system comes free as part of the new update so I'll definitely be giving it a go :toot: .

The console update is available (circa 21 Gb!)... and I now have a house :toot: .

I'm now gonna spend several hours arranging furniture and planting flowers 8-) .

So I've had this game since it launched on console in June 2015... and I've only just realised that you can travel from a wayshrine to *any* other wayshrine :o .

I'd thought that you could only travel to another wayshrine that was visible in the immediate area on the map; I hadn't realised until now that you can adjust the map view and travel to any wayshrine anywhere  . Man, I have spent eighteen months or so traveling around at a snail's pace, riding to a wayshrine in an area and then across that area to reach the exit before repeating the exercise... no wonder I've made slow progress in the game  :fp:  .

FAKE EDIT:
