I dunno if playing games like Guildwars 2 has spoiled me.

The graphics are ok but some of the animations and ui systems look terrible.

There's still work to be done, for sure. That's why it's still in Beta. It's due for release in 4 months, there's still polishing time. As a game, though, it's everything I wanted.

Combat feels bad (worse than Skyrim). You can't attack NPCs or steal stuff. I get that it'd be hard to make that stuff work in an MMO but if you aren't going to maintain the sense of freedom that defines the series, it's pointless. Seems to me like this is Elder Scrolls in name and nothing more.

Those area transitions :dread:

Climbing that ladder in the starter quest  :dread:

Step back for the series unless some major polish takes place.

Installing now. Can see this bomb hard though, especially with the cost. £35 for the game and then £10 a month? Shocking decision that, SWTOR MKII.

My plan is to do what I did with Star Trek Online. Play the gooseberry fool out of the beta, then wait for it to go free-to-play.

Me too. I think it's because I'm playing it in the mindset that it is still very much a beta. And not in the modern corruption of the term, which seems to really mean "multiplayer demo that we can bundle in with an inferior game in order to sell it".

I understand its a beta.

However from experience in beta testing MMO's nothing much changes normally from beta to the finished game.

I follow the MMO gaming space a lot and even some of the bigger MMO sites are worried for this game.

Game Breaker streamed live last night, they have a lot of unanswered questions about a game thats about 4 months from launch.

Either the games going to launch unfinished I.E have no end game yet or it will get delayed.

That mouse drift :dread:

And my character name just appearing in lines down the screen :?

They need to do a hell of a lot of work in 4 months to get this ready as a saleable product.

Of course. MMOs need to be able to run on a wide range of hardware in order to maximise the potential userbase. It would be no good releasing an MMO that only top-end gaming PCs could ever hope to run.

That's there so that if anyone uploads screenshots or video they'll know who did it. The game is under NDA, after all.

Played a fair bit of it now and I think it's excellent. I can understand the game not being for everyone, but I've heard an awful lot of incredibly harsh comments about it despite this being a beta. Granted, some things can't be changed so close to launch, but an awful lot of it will be.

As much as I love TES universe, I quite like that it's just me. Not sure I want to share it xXx-leet-blazit420-97xXx.

EDIT; gooseberry fool, appears to have to cut off the end of my post. What I mean is, to what degree do you still get a chance to get out on your own?

You're not forced to quest with other people, but of course other players are almost always around. It's almost unavoidable in an MMORPG.
