I'm sure many of you have seen the headless horseman ghost riding about? Is there a quest related to him or anything? I try to follow him but can't keep up and he doesn't speak.

I shot some arrows at him, but nothing happened. It was weird.

I saw him in my very first game, right at the start, when i was heading for whiterun. Chased after him for ages but gave up in the end. Never seen him since

Had a bit of a run in with the giants yesterday

I take it you got a katana from a mod and they're not in the game?

Yeah, I've got two of them. Dragonbane and The Ebony Blade.

Aren't the Blades' swords all katana-ish? If so, there's about a dozen or so in their dormitory area - I've used one as my main crafted and enchanted weapon all the way through

I've seen him loads - what the hell is it for? I thought I'd some how done what ever it was supposed to be when I followed him and he stopped at some burial ground and I killed some living dead types and horseman vanished. But then the other day he galloped through the Labyrinthe area. No idea.

He's meant to be a nod to The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and you seem to have seen and done what he's in the game for.

I ain't never seen me no Sleepy Hollow. Bit of a crappy quest - there didn't seem to be an ending and he's still around!

Sounds like a Easter Egg type thing innit.

I've been out of touch with gaming for a while but got this a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Probably the best gaming I've had since Half Life: Episode 2* (both completely different I know). I'm 40+ hours in now and it's starting to take over my life. Sexual.

*Any news on episode 3?

Had a bit of an all-nighter with this last night. First proper go since before Christmas.

I probably made a mistake waiting 45 hours before visiting another town besides Whiterun and really cracking on with the main quest, but I've got back into it I think and am just going to focus on getting quests done and get it complete. Think I've had my fill of mindless exploring and wandering.

Is it possible to get sneak attacks with Destruction spells? Otherwise I'm not sure I really see the point, as the only spell you could want to cast ahead of a fight would be some kind of x-flesh Alteration spell.

Silent detect life would be helpful for thieving as they hear it when close by

Aura Whisper is your friend.

Just about to try it on a giant...

...shot firebolt and ice spike at giant. Failed to fully detect me (the eye is barely open). So yeah, you can go undetected but it's still a good idea to have decent sneak level too (otherwise they won't detect the spell being fired but they will hear you moving about).

So....yeah got Lydia killed :fp:

Do you get 'given' other companions through the game at all? Or just people you befriend and randomly ask to follow you around?

You get a housecarl for every house you buy.
