The amount of times the Legendary edition has been about a fiver for PC then you've only got yourself to blame for missing out.

Yes yes thank you lagamorph - NOT!

Guess I'll just wait for the SE to go on sale... might have some good mods by then.

So wait, I just downloaded after getting it free due to having the original and all the DLC and apparently it is no different from the original on ultra? WTF was the point of even releasing this on PC then? I mean, it seems like I just wasted a lot of bandwidth and storage space for just a duplicate of the game I already have installed.

Looking at the comparisons it doesn't look like a massive increase, at least not one that can't be achieved with mods.

I think the primary improvement is to particle lighting which eliminates a lot of the light/shadow bugs and the 64bit client. 64bit is a big jump as it removes a lot of the original bug issues and also allows for big mods without having to use the SKSE memory hacks which makes the game more stable. I would say its not so much a big release now if you are already playing a modded version but give it a couple of months and it should be a lot better in comparison.

That makes sense, hopefully in some time we will have some cool big ass mods for it. I'm still not sure I see the point though.

Got the free upgrade on Steam and downloaded and installed but I'm now thinking of installing the vanilla Skyrim and just using mods again until there some decent ones available for the SE. Can't see my old save files working though cause can I strawberry float remember what mods I had activated the last time I'd played it (I think I had well over 30 in use)

I hope the PS4 Pro version super samples this for 1080P TV Sets - that would be awesome! Anyway arrived in 2 hours and ready to give this a go!

Glad this is free on PC. It looks strawberry floating atrocious, utterly half-arsed remaster.

Got this yesterday on PS4 from Boomerang as a rental.

Sounds from reviews like a half arsed effort at best.

I've been playing this all weekend on PS4 and while I don't think it looks that much better than the original it certainly appears to run a lot better than it did back when I first played it on 360. The load times in particular have been almost nonexistent thus far.
