Are you playing Dawnguard? Even with that I never got random vampires in towns. Maybe out in the wilderness, but not in towns.

Hoping to start Dragonborn later today.

I'm not playing through Dawnguard, haven't even done the first quest. They just attack as I have it downloaded.

Ah yeah, okay. I found it annoying enough out and about, let alone in towns.

Fought a translucent dragon this evening.

I thought it was just a trick of the light in a snow storm but nope, he landed and I could see Shadowmere right through him.

Necroposting.

I moved my PS3 down stairs and have been playing Dark souls and Demon souls again and also having a blast through some old games from last gen.

Skyrim

Although the combat is wank, the world is glorious to be back in. Picked it up really quickly again, just started hitting quests again, it's been like 18 months since I last looked at it and it took no time at all to start rolling again.

going to try and finish the Vampire DLC I think, I never got round to getting both Elder scrolls IIRC.

So weird you posted that today. I started a PC play through today and loving it. I'm playing on legendary difficulty as a stealthy, pickpocketing Khajit and it's brilliant.

I re-started a PC playthrough not long ago, but ended up [is]choosing to become a Vampire Lord[/is] and now I regret it so much I'm debating whether to restart or at least see if I have an earlier save to revert to.

You can undo that without restarting.

Was just making my way around Whiterun at night when a gang of vampires appeared so I helped the guards to kill them and now I have a pair of nice looking vampire boots. Is that part of the DLC? I don't remember ever seeing vampires like that when I played it on the 360.

Yeah, they start to appear when you have the Dawnguard DLC installed.

That's the character choice I made.

It's kinda game breaking, I went straight to the thieves, did all their missions, up until you get the skeleton unbreakable lock pick thing then the brotherhood missions.

Doing both of those gets you all the stealth and killing abilities, all the best gear and then it becomes really easy unfortunately.

Add into that a crossbow from the DLC and fire everything into stealth and archery skills and become the harbinger of death.

Would love for Bethesda to get a remaster of this out on the PS4 - the PS3 version was awful and it would be much more enjoyable in 1080P/ 30FPS and better streaming etc.

Hmm, sounds like a plan. Think I'll head to Riften next then and join the thieves guild. I already maxed out my pick pocketing. I wanted to make it legendary but then having to work to get back my perks didn't seem too appealing.

I've been playing Skyrim in vanilla mode. I think that must be like a sin or something on PC.

I would deffo look at some of the graphical mods for Skyrim, it's well worth doing.

So played 40hrs of this on the PS than sold it when I got my free DL version on the Xbox360 however when I got my PS4 I moved my Xbox upstairs but never played any games on it so ditched 60hrs on the xbox to finally go back to a PS3 version.

Really enjoying being back in this world though  Also Lydia seems to have come back from the dead and was in my house
