Yeah, as I said if you like original it's kinda a must buy. Bethesda have also promised to up its resolution and bits and bobs via a patch to support 4K on PS4 Pro.

So, will the old mods still work, or must we wait for a new batch? I don't think it looks as good as mine does (when I can get it to work)...

It probably doesn't look as good as a modded original Skyrim but seeing as this is 64bit, the mods for the remaster will tower over any mods you have for original, it'll also means mods are far more stable cos they are not restricted to 4gb's of Ram.

Just gotta work out whether I'm going to jump in with the PS4 version or save my money for the Switch version. Really not sure at the moment.

Well, the PS4 version has mod support confirmed I believe. It remains to be seen if the Switch could even support that.

PS4 has 1gb mod support with no new assets...so it's barely mod support at all.

It'll be decent for gameplay mods, quest mods and tweaks to systems, but yeah it sucks that there's no support for new assets.

Was looking forward to getting my mate to install Project Pew. That one always made me chuckle in its simplicity.

To be honest, because of the fact Mods disable achievements I won't be using mods for about a year when I've rinsed this for most of its 'chievo's but yeah I'm looking forward to entire towns being added and new quest lines.

I'd forgotten how small the vanilla model boobs were.

Yeah the difference is very impressive (and disappointing) Brer.

Am I right in thinking that this Special Edition contains all of the DLC? If so that'd be cool, I never played any of the DLC so would be interested in trying that all out.

Brerlappin wrote:The remaster looks decent, but its only using the PC highest textures, not even the ultra textures that Beth released for the PC version. And i really dislike how foggy it looks. The biggest issue tho is it still has the horrible character models and hair from vanilla. No matter how good everything else looks having those frankensteins wandering around is gonna pull you out of the immersion.

So have any improvements been made to the PC version, then? Or are they just asking £30 for the game bundled with the DLC?

Tesco Direct are selling this for £34 which is the best price I've seen, does anyone know if it will be that price in store?

If I buy the pc dlc packs now (there's a deal for all three @ £19.99), will I still get the free upgrade? I had no idea about the upgrade - is it too late? I'd rather spend £19.99 than £30...

I think it's too late. I believe it had to be bought before it was released.

Apparently you have until the end of today, but I'm not sure when the exact cut off is, or how it's affected by time zones, etc.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/psa-la ... 0-6444860/

You'll need to own all of this by the end of Friday, October 28, to qualify. If you wait until Friday to buy the remaining items, you may have to wait up to 36 hours for Special Edition to show up in your library, according to a post on Steam.
