I really quite fancy playing Oblivion again but I've got no idea where the disc is for it anymore!

Another reason for digital supremacy!

Found the disc, dusted down the Xbox 360 (holy gooseberry fool this thing is heavy and loud) and found my 42 hour save from March 2007 intact. Only, because I can't sign into to Xbox Live for whatever reason I think it's got rid of whatever DLC I might have had downloaded?

Level 14 after 42 hours? What the strawberry float was I even doing back then?!

EDIT - Also, with all the options available I chose to be an Imperial, Warrior, Knight with the blandest looking face. I think I just wanted to get going and thought I'd make a more interesting character later on but never did.

How is that possible??

Did you just spend all your time renting the same room in the Winking Skeever and never do any missions??

I remember spending quite a few hours near the start of the game just doing looting runs to ruins/mines near the Imperial City and then selling all the stuff back at Three Brothers Trade Goods in the city. It was ages before I actually did any real quests!

I remember I got really into the Arena storyline and not much else. Looking at the side quests I did a bit of the Dark Brotherhood but was still looking for the Thieves Guild! I think I was about two thirds through the main quest line too, but honestly I have no idea how I didn't level up.

Doesn't levelling in Oblivion get banked until you sleep? Maybe you just really need to take a rest and you'll jump like 20 levels or something!

I thought you were talking about Skyrim!

Yea, I think in Oblivion it is a bit locked like that.

Yep you have to sleep In oblivion to level up which can be annoying but I do love oblivion it's an ace game a switch port at a decent price would be cool.

Thinking about it, sleeping is very important to a good Oblivion experience. Levelling up, starting the Dark Brotherhood questline and an unexpected voyage

Nope, no little symbol suggesting I need a good snooze. Just level 14. After 42 hours. I did apparently complete 49 quests though, which is about a quarter of the whole game so I clearly didn't spend it all wandering around looking at mudcrabs.

Fans of The Elder Scrolls series have been taking a good look at this map, and it has been suggested that one of the three candles may indicate the main location of TES VI, which could be Hammerfell, the home of the Redguards. The date on the map may also confirm that this tease is not for content coming to The Elder Scrolls Online, as 4E 182 is centuries ahead of the Second Era when the online game takes place.

Not sure if this has been shared before elsewhere on the forum, but just imagine if they re-released Skyrim with a proper graphics engine overhaul:

Looks pretty. I think it's the character animations that are the weakest aspect of how the game looks though, and that's related to the combat and other systems, so are harder to change.

It does look amazing Preezy but I think they've pretty much milked Skyrim to death to be honest as much as they can now.

Last but not least, yes, we are in development on the next chapter - The Elder Scrolls VI. Even now, returning to Tamriel and playing early builds has us filled with the same joy, excitement and promise of adventure.

Well I should be hoping they’re working on TES 6

Still slightly worried after Starfield though, still not played it so not speaking from experience, but it just seemed such an average game in a lot of ways. Hoping for more from the next TES game.

I'm about 80 hours into my 5th or 6th attempt on Skyrim via Game Pass. Got much further than I ever managed on X360, XB1, Switch and still really enjoying it despite it being years old. Maybe one day I might get close to finishing it but for now I'm just enjoying the journey

Yep, I've been doing another playthrough, I realised I've never done a proper Thief/Dark Brotherhood one before. It's easily one of my top 5 games of all time still.

I just loooove the dungeons in TES V. They're huge, unique, creepy, surprising. A million times better than Oblivion's. And there's just so many of them.

If this is still years away could it be a next gen exclusive?
I'm not sure I'd like that but it would be interesting to see how a big budget game built for only next gen hardware will look like.

I wonder if this may also end up being a lauch game for any Xbox handheld as having a game like this on the go would be nice.

Seeing this thread bumped makes me want to load Skyrim back up on my Switch

Always mean to try out being a Vampire in Skyrim, got to be one of the few things I've never actually done.
