I seriously hope neither of those parties get their positions back. But I'd say it will happen regardless of all the corruption and proof that this relationship does not fundamentally work.

Sinn Fein must be laughing their asses off watching the unionists fight amongst themselves.

Just seen on Sky News that Theresa May is facing a defeat in the House of Lords over the Brexit bill, in its current form anyway.

I look forward to the inevitable abolition of the House of Lords.

Well they are blocking the will of the people, we want our parliament to be sovereign but only after Brexit.

They are indeed enemies of the people. :x

I was actually being serious though. The HoL has been long overdue for culling. We still have Bishops (strawberry floating Bishops!!) being given automatic entry to our government. :fp:

Just because they occasionally do things I like, doesn’t mean I agree with them being there.

Agreed, but wouldn't you rather have had Palace beat Southampton in the early rounds and save having to rely on the team you dislike to defeat the team you hate?

Ultimately yes but we don't always get what we want!

And by the looks of it neither does May. Go check yourself Theresa.

Theresa May reportedly plans to end rights given to EU nationals under freedom of movement rules when she triggers Article 50 next month

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/po ... 01051.html

Is this new? My girlfriend is French, currently living here, but she's leaving for 2 weeks come next week. If she returns after the 15th, well. What the strawberry float will that mean?

Surely she can't do that even after triggering Article 50. We're still actually in the EU for at least another 2 years and bound by the same rules/laws during that period.

Theresa May to end EU citizens’ rights to live in UK days after fear ‘half of Romania and Bulgaria’ will come

What a banana split that woman is.

I don't think anybody knows what will happen Taf, it looks like May is going to end freedom of movement early (and probably illegally) but there may well be exceptions for "good" Europeans like the French.

She basically a vocal bully. She doesn't actually have the power to do that.
