Looks like we gonna have border controls over here between Northern Ireland with us lot, and they voted to remain.

What an absolute f**king shambles. :fp:

Have I missed something in the news? When did this become more likely today?

Free movement between RoI and UK existed before either country joined the EU. I find it incredibly unlikely that there would be a border control between RoI and Northern Ireland.

It's funny because Germany is a better country in almost every way to us.

Oh wait. :(

Well everything I see on Brexit today just reaffirms the worrying mental health statistics I saw at work today. In that sense we do have a representative government.

Treatment seems unlikely since the meeting ended with the reluctant decision to close mental health beds and reduce services as we have literally run out of money and targets for cancer and other areas take precedent in the current regulations. Bit of a bummer really - pass the citalopram..

Kinda sad, but not surprising. Tory government seems quite detached in terms of mental health issues.

How long to you reckon the UK could last if we single handedly tried to take on the entire EU?

But we have a fairly effective trident system.

It would depend on how serious it was. France has nuclear weapons so we wouldn’t have an advantage there (assuming ours even manage to end up in the right place).

I’d guess we would last a good few months while the rest of the EU were uncontrollably laughing before they crush us just after we take Paris.

MPs planning dozens of Article 50 Amendments

The SNP alone have said they're planning on tabling 50 amendments.
End of March is looking ridiculously unlikely at this point.

Claims of it being "watered down" are coming, inevitably.

Let's be honest, this is the sorta thing that should've been happening anyway; a proposal put forward for Parliament to review and amend as needed.

SNP intending to introduce an amendment that the devolved governments are given a veto, Chuka Umanna intending to introduce an amendment for a commitment that an additional £350million per week be spent on the NHS.
