Thats what frustrates me most about all this is I'm almost certain if we had another referendum (not calling for one, just saying if there was one) Leave would almost certainly lose.

The thing that most convinces me that Remain would win a second referendum is how dead against it the Leave supporters are.

I just caught it. It's probably the world's way of telling me not to call other people idiots.

It's a novel way to get the immigration numbers down, make the country so shite that no-one would actually want to live here. Gotta hit those targets.

Who would want to come here?

Edit -

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/ng- ... e-document

Crikey. Some of these points. I reiterate, who would want to come here??

Just skimmed the start, employers must look to employ residents....is that legal? That's Nazi Germany 101!

"British jobs for British workers" was originally a Labour sentiment, so nothing out of the ordinary there at all. It was a hollow jesture at the time because it was ultimately unenforceable.

The whole document is horrifying. It's like a racists wish list. If that's how the UK government are going about things then strawberry float it, strawberry float off out of Europe!

It's overly harsh and regressive in many places. If you want to limit low skilled workers, fine (but you'd best be sure nationals can fill it) but things like...

Those in “high-skilled occupations” will be granted permits to work for a longer period of three to five years.

...are ridiculous. We should always be bending over backwards to attract these people.

And the dreaded...

If an EU national living in the UK wants to bring their spouse from outside the EU here, he or she will have to earn a minimum of £18,600 a year, bringing EU nationals in line with the restriction already imposed on Britons.

...is still in place.

I don't think a lot of these things will ever see the light of day though, for various reasons (won't be agreed with the EU, the current regime won't actually be in power to implement them...).
