I am very careful to take a look around at other sources before judging how badly something like this went down.

Everywhere I went it went down like a lead balloon. A bit like the currency. The only people I saw being mildly positive about it were Sky News reporters.

I'm happier with her. It's down to May, the government and the EU now.
If you can't accept it's a step in the right direction I'm happy to agree to disagree.

It’s not about winning with me, it’s about one of the weakest leaders we’ve ever had actually doing something to positively move the country forward.

What did she do yesterday that achieved anything?

She said we’d be out of the EU. We already knew that.

She said she hoped we’d still be friends. That’s nice but mostly meaningless.

She said we’d want a 2 year or so transistion. Lovely, except that’s not up to her.

I’d agree her tone was improved and along the lines of a better direction. Less “we’ll walk away with no deal you wankers!” and more “we want to be friends”, but there was no real substance there.

It’s amusing that you accuse me of “she can’t win with you” though. Can Corbyn win with you? Would you ever speak out against Tory policy? I am a political neutral (as I hate Tory and Labour), you are not.

Corbyn could win with me. Yes. Because I accept realities.

You need to learn (just like May) that repeating the same guff over and over doesn’t make it true.

If Corbyn ever becomes PM (and I don’t think he will) then I’m going to enjoy quoting this if you ever moan about him.

The thing with May is I think she's useless and doesn't stand for much. I don't hate her, and I certainly don't think she's malicious. I like the face she campaigned for remain, I just don't think she's very good. It's not that she can't win with me. She has never won!

I'm glad we've stopped hearing the "no deal is better than a bad deal" line. While that may have been possibly true in the past, the government has completely failed to undertake any preparatory work in the event of no deal with the EU, such as ramping up our customs processing capacity and beginning the construction of large lorry parks. If they had wanted a remote chance of being ready for that they would have had to start breaking ground before the dust had settled in July last year. There is not enough time to do this work before March 2019 now so if we ended up with no deal we would end up was a massive shock and almost certainly shortages for both consumers and manufacturer supplies. Government inaction means that no deal and bad deal are now one and the same. Achieving a deal with the EU is now an absolute requirement short of running the UK economy over a cliff.
