That's a very interesting read. This notion that we can suddenly sign a bunch of trade agreements on Brexit day and this will automatically result in swathes of new customers for British companies is one of my biggest annoyances. It trivialises the hard work that goes into getting business and it's done by a bunch of people who have no practical experience of the bullshit they're peddling (and, unfortunately, no stake in the game either).

This is the first time I've heard someone lay down the nuts and bolts of moving goods in and out if the EU and he's spot on in everything he says.

The fuckwits in charge have no idea what is involved in customs movements and it staggers me that there seems to be no wider discussion about just how much this is going to destroy lives in this country. But as per usual the gammons don't care about it and the politicians advocating for it have nothing to lose even if (when) it goes tits up.

Customs is complicated, it's expensive and there is far more to it than most people comprehend.
