To everyone wondering why it's still going ahead, pick up a copy of the DM tomorrow. Every day they run pro-Brexit 'news' stories - if that or others like it are your main reference point you'd have no idea why people still want to stay.

Ditto why, as moggy said, there's 0 chance it won't happen. 0.

Can both of you allow at least a shred of hope to sit softly in the most innocent part of my brain, please?

Rocsteady said 0% chance.

I'm far more optimistic. I reckon there's a 2% chance.

See, hope!

Yeah I'd happily accept us paying into the EU and getting single market/freedom of movement even though we lose rebates and a say in how the EU is run, just so they can call a victory of "we did leave the EU still!"

It won't happen, calling the whole thing off would be more likely, but a guy can dream.

You're strawberry floating daft Laga :P

It's not going to happen. We're totally strawberry floated. We're leaving with no deal - and most of the leave voters will cheer it as "sticking it to Johnny Foreigner"

Older leave voters (mostly baby boomers) have completely strawberry floated the younger generations because of (at best) deluded form of jingoism and self image, at worst outright racism or stupidity.

They don't even have the good grace to admit a mistake as Brexit falls apart around them.

The Mail/Express are still bitching about queues at airports for holidaymakers.

They have spent years telling everyone how terrible open borders are, but now it's terrible that border checks are being tightened up?

I look forward to the howls of outrage in a couple of years when Leave voters realise they can no longer use the "EU" immigration queue and have to queue up along with the American, Asian and African tourists. :slol:

Everytime I go through Schipol airport the EU only passport gates are always closed anyway so everybody has to go through the Other Passport queues.

My gf (worst I have a gf post ever) is Turkish, and had to travel to London from Yeovil for one day to get her biometrics recorded for her schengen as she needed to work in Paris for 1 day.

I'm assuming once we have left, we are all going to have to do that if we have a business meeting in Europe?

Still waiting to find out why we are leaving Europe and when it will start to benefit me.

It will be when you notice that planning permission has been submitted for a brand new super dooper hospital around the corner and you go to a car wash and Jim is washing your car, he's really happy to have a job now as he's been on job seekers for ten years as 'all dem polish kept taking my jobs'.

Liz is a bright spark isn't she?

first 4 r about managing borders to ensure our infrastructure can keep up with the pop.the final one is about ppl going on holiday 4 s week

I think proper security needs to be in place with proper checks.UK not in schengen agreement for a reason.

But this issue is all about the EU trying to bully us out of the decision we've made to make it awkward to travel to the EU.

Spain who has a terrible economy should worry they don't affect the tourism industry to prove a point!

Spain's economy isn't terrible, nor is it dependent on tourism to survive. What a moron.

This is not the first time you have posted in this manner. I too do not understand why people would think Brexit is a good idea however Any further posting like this will result in a 1 month ban from this thread.

No swearing, eh? Fair enough.
