Have they found one in an eight inch fish tank yet though?

I nearly got into a Facebook argument with a 'friend' (he's a strawberry floating bellend) I used to work with. I replied once to a post he made, he responded and I was on the cusp of going back again when I remembered the sensible mantra that "it's not worth it", which is something I've agreed with and followed up until that point.

I then noticed a little later on that he had slightly amended his post in an attempt to clarify the crap point he was trying to make. Although it didn't change how gooseberry fool the post was in the first place, it did at least focus it slightly in a way that marginally (microscopically) reduced its overall twatiness.

I wondered to myself, perhaps it is worth it after all? What do we think? Do we have a duty to fart into the wind in the hope that it might eventually enhance the aroma, even if it's only by the slightest amount?

I tend to go for it, it may be pissing in the wind but one day the gust might drop just long enough for them to see a little sense.

I tend to avoid arguing on Facebook. There seems little chance of changing their minds and it is embarrassing when all of your friends and family see you having a petty little spat.

I keep my petty spats to GRcade where they belong.

Sorry, not Facebook, but...
I've just seen RIP In Peace used in the wild:

This is all Facebook is now. Pages and pages of this kind of 'life' bollocks. Glad I strawberry floated it off an age ago.

As a bonus to no longer having an account it garners me cool points with my kids because Facebook is for old people. :toot:

Went fairly well and I've got some of his friends that I don't know agreeing with me instead of him 8-).

What's the best counter to the old 'I want to improve society' — 'aha, but you participate in society' debate? He's coming out with the same gooseberry fool, this time suggesting that Greta Thunberg is a liar because she irons her clothes, which contributes to climate change (that he doesn't even believe in) :fp:.

A massive Corbyn fan was arguing with a massive Tommy Robinson fan. The TR fan was arguing that TR is not a Nazi. The Corbyn fan said that TR was a Nazi, the TR fan said TR has shared a stage with Jewish people and the Corbyn fan then said “anyways tommy shares the stage with Zionists, masked as Jews”.

I could resist and so asked what his definition of a Zionist was.

Those that support zionism. Those that believe Jewish people should have their own country.
Should be noted that the Jewish faith is most against the concept of Israel and having their own nation.

Odd I thought, so I asked what he meant by the Jewish faith being most against Israel.

**mostly
You can find rabbi's speaking against Israel on youtube.
They are literally against having a "jewish homeland"

I said that YouTube videos are not evidence.

I thibk Rabbi's have a decent knowledge of thier religion, dont you?

I agreed, I would imagine most Rabbis do have a decent knowledge of their religion. So I asked if he thought most Rabbis were against the idea of a Jewish homeland.

Well there are rabbi's IN israel, but worldwide, yes i believe so.
I believe in Jewish Literature, its states that Jewish people must live peacefully wherever they are in the world and conform to local laws. And i believe it states that there should be no homeland

So I asked if he thought that meant that Rabbis in Israel didn’t have a decent knowledge of their religion and asked what Jewish literature said there should be no homeland.

I think I will leave it there.

Stopped reading after 6 or so statements. Jesus Christ.

For the man who needs to take an "extra stop" after work to get the strength needed to survive a crippling marriage for the sake of their kids

For the man who is mourning the loss of a pregnancy but can't show his feelings as he has to be there for the wife

For the man who still leads from the front even although he’s lost inside.

For the man who was fired for his fourth late because he has been awake for a straight week with a sick child.

For the single dad who doesn't know how the utilities are going to stay on this month.

For the man who is infertile and can never bear kids

For the man who never got a say in his partner's abortion, even though he had taken on a second job and done up the nursery in order to give the kid the best life possible.

For the man who has a line of judging eyes at him and his children as he counts out coins or has to put something back at the supermarket.

For the man who gets weird looks just for being around his kids in public when his wife is nowhere to be seen, because if a man is holding a little kid's hand it has to mean the worst.

For the man that opens the door to the news of his husband being killed overseas three weeks before he was to return home.

For the man that lives with a quiet anxiety because nobody understands what you could possibly be stressed about.

For the man that gives to his family all day- everyday and just.needs.a.break.

For the man that smiles at strangers all day in public- but weeps silently every night.

For the man who has wanted to end it all but found strength to carry on.

For the man that heard the rumor about himself at church today.

For the man sleeping next to a stranger every night.

For the man whose genetics will never allow him to look like the kind of guy girls go for.

For the man that endures one broken relationship after another because there was no mother around to teach him what love looks like.

For the man raising a motherless son and praying that history doesn't repeat itself.

For the man who loves with all his heart who’s desperate to be loved.

For the man who is really a woman but is too trapped to live as such.

For the man who always got picked last for the soccer match.

For the man who got accused of assault by a jilt ex-girlfriend, and everyone believed the woman.

For the man who was forced into a mechanic gig by his father, even though his true passion is making crème brûlée

For every single man that cries in the shower so that nobody else can see. Because men aren't supposed to cry.

Just because the water washes your tears doesn't mean that you don't cry. Just because you cry doesn’t mean that you’re not strong enough to handle it.

I am you. I see you. I am with you, I cry with you. I love you.
